Other people have already mentioned it, that was a shitty question. It should have been more about Targa grabbing his most notable bo3 win. I think that TargA slipped in the attempt to do a sensible thing: sidestep anything non related to the game and give an answer relative to SC2 only. He probably meant that as both friendly trashtalk and a sincere assessment of his skills. He also probably realized one second later that he might have sounded worse than he meant to. ![]() However I must also agree that asking a question the answer to which was either "Well yes, we are both quite big" or "No, I am a much better player than he is" was quite clumsy on Rachel's part.

There is no one, absolutely no one, to blame for the loss but Hero. Those were strategically disastrous decisons.

Hero went nexus first and pylon blocked both zerg expansions, both hatches went down a full minute late. Then Hero skipped the zealot, didn't make a full wall and moved out with his first stalker to clear the watchtower. Targa built pure slow ling and just ran through the hole in the wall before Hero could get a sentry out. Ok thanks, same thing so.

But seriously, TL should not be a place for absolutely stupid, hideous, negative drama and player bashing. That's what reddit's for. I don't understand why everyone has to shit on TargA for making a huge upset. I think that's awesome, and I hope he plays really well against TaeJa, although that'll be a very tough matchup for him.

There was not much to say for Targa, either the fact that Incontrol is not the best player or their looks but comparing people just because of their looks is just...... boring. Incontrol is one of the best figures in e-sports as a caster or entertainer but Targa couldn't really say anything about this because he's just a player so there is no comparison. That is not what I'm saying. What I am saying is, Rachel asked the question because it was already being talked about by the fans. She's bringing a perception of the fans up to a player, because it would likely be more interesting an answer than "How do you feel about that win?" (Obviously, pretty darn good.) Or the half dozen similar questions that end up getting the same generic answers. Rachel isn't making the comparison, the fans watching were - it's a valid question. And Targa's answer was in fact pretty interesting. A lot better than "You won because HerO didn't put a zealot in the choke. Was that luck or skill?" Incontrol hasn't played well for awhile, but he has done a lot better in caster/host roles in that same time. He has done very good things, but at the same time that question is not unlike ones that Incontrol himself might ask while doing an interview on that very couch. I mean, really. What question would you rather Rachel ask that would have gotten a reaction on this scale? And truthfully, Targa's answer is pretty valid. It's not BM, it's just his opinion. Not unlike Stephano's answers throughout WCS Europe. Not even close to the awkward several seconds before Stephano said he was honored to represent EU at WCS World.
