It's usually a way to escape reality - if you go there for the drugs and the booze and the sex, as you said. Some people just enjoy being together with many different kinds of people, generally ones they've never met, and just enjoy the company. I for instance am not one of those people, I tend to prefer being with just a few close friends and I don't really care about clubs at all. Everyone's different, though. If you think only your opinion is correct, you're very delusional. Fun is subjective, yeah. I dont get trying to "prove" one thing is correct/incorrect. :S

SC 2 is dead when it's all Korean matches from the Ro8 on wards in the same old tournaments. WCS is different. SC 2 is not dead when it's the lead up to the biggest SC 2 international event in the world.

WCS World could totaly top what the International II was. I'm not sure it'll top TI2, but Blizz definitely deserve a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge amount of praise for the WCS Really hope they do it again next year because it's been great for many national scenes -====== (also, just to say I told you so about the viewer count =p )

Someone talked about about 3k at the venue, so 100k are very reachable.

Yeah that adds something, but I must stress this, DreamHack has put together in my opinion THE BEST tournament for an online viewer base so far, the choice of music, the events to kill time.

MLG is also very late at night for the EU, so Dreamhack fits the European time schedule perfectly = more viewers.

Indeed. They also seem to have really pro people hired that basically do TV level stuff, like really big events. At least it looks that way.
