Why am I massive fan of EG's Koreans but a massive anti-fan of EG's foreigners :-/
someone explain how I think please
EDIT: I forgot about ThorZaIN...I definitely like him but he's not one of my favourite players. He doesn't really feel like an EG player though...I dunno what I'm on about.

If you catch my drift. You can't deny that while Nestea had the dominance Mvp had, he sure was a great player that still won his championships by awesome play... and if you do want to do that, at least he was good enough to be better than those horrible players, right? There was a time when NesTea was the best zerg in the world. And it was quite a long period of time to be honest. I will not contest that. Furthermore, he was a really good player. But because more than half of the people that he beat in the championships he won were not even Code S material to begin with, even for early 2011 standards, people made him out to be a lot better than he really was. That's all I'm saying. He was a great player back then, but he looked a lot better than he really was because the people he played were in Code S not due to their skill but due to a faulty system. And some of them were actually so bad that they dropped out entirely even before said system was changed. I know it's not a classy argument to make but it's true. But if you're honest to yourself, you realize that NesTea's reign was definitively over more than a year ago. GSL wasn't as mature, but that doesn't delegitimise Nestea's accomplishments. He was still the best player in the world at the time.
I'm not saying "everyone was worse back then therefore NesTea is bad". I'm saying that almost all of the people who he beat were actually really bad, even for that time's standards. (the only exceptions that come to mind are MKP and sC). Every time he faced an opponent of his calibre he got destroyed (Mvp was the first to illustrate this, then MMA in August) If he had to face Mvp in every one of his GSLs I doubt he would have won more than a single one.
But it's moot to argue about it now. I don't think he'll drop out of GSL altogether too soon, given that he's good at preparing and usually lucky with brackets (which is the point I was trying to make all this time). We'll see.

Truth but it was obvious that JYP was often trying to hit the army but missed.

I am not, supernova upgraded ghost cloaking after he had lost around 10 ghosts with his poor control, he also didn't have more than 3-4 ghosts at a time with his army, that game was 100% his to lose, there's nothing protoss can do 3 upgrades behind and with much worse economy, jyp should've been walked over, there was absolutely no need for caution from supernova.

probably SlayerS curse against EG

you do know when they engage that terran will actually lose units? The T army will actually still take losses regardless how fast the colo die? It's not like JYP was attacking with pure colossus

someone explain how I think please (A number of) EG's foreigners are outspoken and have fanbases out of proportion to their skill; EG's korean's are relatively shy, unquestionably underrated and have really definitive/interesting playstyles.

Nestea losing ZvZ and JYP winning TvP.
Truly this is the end of times, fuck.

I didn't know it was possible to dislike Thorzain, he's just so nice and only foreign terran that can win anything.

JYP is btw the current best example of a player not affected by the EG curse, this is his first win in code S afaik
