I think root has the slight edge with major, tod, puck, masa and vibe and without zergs to make tod insta tilt and get sniped that goes in root's favour but light certainly has a good shot with binksi, kawaii, SeoHyeon and stalife.
But let's go with OMFG ELEPHANT and say sson all kills lolololol.

I wanna see rotterdam play since he joined a team just for the specific reason of playing for them in a team league. Lets hope he gets to play.

major + tod imo push this in favor of root on paper. now that i think about it though, i havent seen most of the guys from both teams playing in a while, so i have no idea

caliber is more solid than people give him credit for, and kawaii could win his match. add in light's dark horse unknown koreans and they could win

Woh shit! This is a good matchup. I'll give root the edge here with Vibe, Major or Tod closing it out.

Xeris runs team Light correct?

Edit: Ouch, Gosu vs FXO Europe is happening earlier in the bracket than most would have liked. But that's the way she goes. Sometimes she goes sometimes she doesn't this time that's the way she goes.

This should be a real battle, but with Sson and SeoHyeon, I'm picking LighT. Calibre, binski, Kawaii, Heavens, and JF is a fine line as well that could probably take on MajOr, ToD, ViBE anyway.

OH MY GOD I GET IT! THAT'S THE LORAX. HE SPEAKS FOR THE TREES.

Sorry. Been on these forums for a while and my brain just exploded.

On topic though, you serious tree-hugger? I mean sure, generally I agree that random korean X is better than famous American Y... but the American champion, ToD, and Major? Those are no slouches.

Then again, I know nothing about Sson and SeoHyeon. Just how good are they?

I want to see MaSa in action in this team league. He was the one who stomped pretty much all of ROOT in the Battle Royales and I believe he'll be in the next NASL as well. He's gotta be really good and is honestly the only one I don't particularly know too well.

Good gravy American highschool is rough. Starting in mid-August!?

But indeed, highschool is over rated do well enough to get into the college/university you're going for and you'll be fine. In the meantime? MOAR STARCRAFT.

I jest of course. Plus it's not like this match in the ametuer bracket is gonna be particularly important in the grand scheme of things.

Sson has a ton of holes in his play. It seems he's not used to having to constantly be looking at his army yet, really confusing play from him with some bad army control.

Yeah, at least we'll say goodbye to MS cloak and hello to Tempest. We'll get a more normal late PvZ.

True, and I think if Sson were more experienced he might've gone for a carrier transition, which lately has been the answer in crazy late-late PvZ.

And while I'm excited to try Tempests out, I'll miss carriers a lot.

I'll not miss these carriers. You cant micro with the attack-move, have low armour and the intereceptors die faster. The tempest is a better and stronger unit for SC2. Although to me SC1 Carriers is the best rts unit ever.

Yeah, probably still nostalgia for me too. Although I really wish they'd made an effort to change the unit instead of scrapping it entirely. I guess I'll save that for the "Save the Carrier" thread though.

Meanwhile, I wonder if Slush can complete the longest all-kill in history.

I seriously think that one game from Slush is as long as some series.

Best PvZ series I've seen in a long long time for game 1. Slush taking names today.

Great TvT by Masa. He dominated his opponent that game, even with the scouted cloak banshees.

So is ROOT going to be in the upcoming Contender division or do they wait a season before moving up?

Good job masa. I quite enjoyed that last game to. I thought he was in trouble when his proxy got scouted and when he got hit by that doom drop, but he just kept on going nice work.

Let's hope Masa and ROOT go even further.

ROOT won't even need to try hard, this is an easy game for them to win. Vibe alone could probably win this.
