is it a single elimination in the EPS final for sure? It's a bid sad that one of the possibly best 2 players get knocked out first round in the first match.
DarKFoRcE < HasuObs This could very well be the finals. I am really looking forward to this match. HasuObs PvP and PvT is looking very good recently but his PvZ seems to be quite the opposite. I still think he will take it if he prepares some nice builds. DarKFoRcE the highest ranked player from the qualifiers has a very good chance to advance though. If he has a good day he could beat all of the attending players. Additional prediction: the winner of this seris will take the tournament.
Socke < DBS Socke's play is not looking as good as usual. Loosing to Strelok at IEM Cologne and to the french terran Dayshi in the IEM Guangzhou/European Qualifier in his best match up doesn't get my hopes up. Socke is a tournament player though. It wouldn't be the first time that he pleasantly surprises with a great performance at a LAN. This might be the last big event for DBS in his year off. Hence i think he will be extra motivated to do well.
GoOdy > ClouD easy pick. GoOdy beating Select at MLG and looking very good in TvT in general. As far as i know Goody never lost a single series to cloud beating him 14:0 in series.
Hanfy < Delphi Even so Hanfy's ZvZ is by far his best match up i think Delphi will take the series. He is overall the more experienced player.
Semi Final (1): GoOdy > Delphi Semi Final (2): HasuObs > DBS
for 3rd place: DBS > Delphi Finale: HasuObs > GoOdy

I think DBS qualified for IPL5 as well.
Yes but as far as i know he will go to university the next semester which starts in october. IPL takes place in November.
Holy shit, how could they fuck the schedule up AGAIN? Why the fuck do they have to mix CS and SC2? Don't they remember what happened at the last finals, when they put World of Tanks inbetween the SC2 games? The whole crowd left before the SC2 grand final because noone wanted to watch hours of World of Tanks! Why not make CS play on friday, SC2 saturday and LoL on sunday?
How can they not see having 2+ hour pauses between the games is bad? I was looking forward to this and I'm sure the games will be great but do I seriously want to watch it if there are pauses that long between the games? No.
Dont think that saturday is so bad as you make it. Other tournaments have their breaks where players and casters go for lunch, and this is no other .. except you may enjoy some of the last (old) CS games we will see.
So there's no live footage from the venue and the casters aren't at the venue? This will be the worst EPS finals ever. Doesn't even feel like finals now, more like a normal EPS cup. I can't believe how ESL treats their most prestigous tournament.

i think take and naruto are there, but theyre showing source atm at the stage

The first two matches are being held on secondary streams while CS:S is being show on our main stage. Both DBS vs. Socke and later on DarKFoRcE vs. HasuObs will be on the main stream with live footage from the venue.

yes, that's true. Would be twice the fun with Take and Naruto. Not saying Kaelaris is bad, but it really lacks the constant remarks and jokes on goody's play.
I'd say if the finals will be Darkforce vs Goody then Darkforce will win it. But if it will be Goody vs Socke/Hasu then Goody will take it for sure, he crushed both of them a lot recently.

So where can we find this stream?
The first two games he mentioned are over, now we are (i guess) waiting for CS to finish so they can start the sc2 tournament on the main stream.
I have to say i was a bid disappointed by the production of the sc2 EPS finals. I am generally a very positive thinking guy but it's hard to find something that went well this weekend. I think Carni did a good job as a host. It takes a lot of skill to know when to not ask more questions in case of Hasu. That's the only thing that comes to mind right now. The schedule was terrible. Maybe because of that there weren't a lot of fans there. When i watched the award ceremony it felt like there were 5 people there. I wasn't watching the whole thing so you might take the following with a grain of salt. In the time i was watching there was like very few camera switches. You basicle only saw the casters (depending on who you were watching) for the germans some interviews etc. When i think about WCS Germany i know how great an event can be.

you guys did good with the recent iem. you have my patience

I like the host here.
Thanks! We will be taking turns doing the hosting, but I'll make sure I have good game-centric questions when I'm next up on stage! Stay tuned for the next match, Daisy vs Bly!
Nice third game between Bly and Daisy, very entertaining.
Good cast by Jorosar and Kaelaris. I like their emphasis on the analytical/observing aspect rather than obvious play-by-play. They got their thinking on (maybe it's not particularly "deep" but I don't know stuff so I like what I hear :p ). They do tend to go on longer solo trips and should maybe try to pass over more often. They are mainly both solo casters to me so I guess it's a matter of habit.
Well, I don`t think so as he played IEM recently. My personal impression is that EU starts to figure the standard Zerg play much better out than a few weeks ago (in Korea you can witness the same trend as P has gotten the upper hand in the PvZ matchup there). So maybe the racial distribution will even out a bit.

Apparently hydras are perfect choice vs thors/ravens/battlecruisers or so i have heard from 'commentators'... Terrible shoutcasting in this game. Observing was also really bad, they missed 3 big engagements. I wish they would focus more on actual game than producing 500 wpm.
Tarson vs. Bischu will be the first game! Does anyone know who the casters are and what they usually cast (certain cups or for certain organisations)? I don't think I've ever heard them cast before.
Unlike the Socke GoOdy incident. I just rewatched the replay where Socke dropped and GoOdy was 60 Supply ahead, was about to kill the 40 Supply army of Socke while having 94 army supply. GoOdy has 3,5 bases where he was mining from while Socke had 2,5. Even worker count. 3-3 for GoOdy 3-2 for Socke. Socke had 1,7k min and 500 gas in the bank and no cooldown on gateways+2 robos GoOdy had no bank (100/150) but 1100 mins and 250 gas queued in his factories (excluding the real build units). GoOdy had a small army at the right side of the map (2 scv 3 tank 2 hellions) and 5 hellions 2 vikings 1 tank at his natural/third additional to his army.
Had some amazing games with goody vs tarson and goody vs bischu especially, shame so few people will ever see them. So pleased, haha. On break now til round 5
A bit dissapointing that slivko didn't wait for his own vortex. He spent so much time on getting that mommaship and then threw it all away by being impatient
You guys are underrating Hasu so much, he's extremely solid and smart. So much thought goes in to his play, you need to catch the nuances or they need to be pointed out to appreciate his play. He plays really freaking clever.
Hasu vs Bischu next for me, Nightend vs Goody on esl
As for the zerg mothership, 1550/750 investment not counting the nexus he lost for another 400 and I don't even want to do the math on how much time nexus+gate+cyber+stargate+beacon+mothership takes. But it was freaking awesome to see, props to slivko!

Hasu is a very decent player but this particular series is no a good example for that. Slivko just outright played a very terrible mid-lategame in both games.

I honestly only half watched without audio obviously seeming I have the stream going myself still and didn't see game 1 early game at all. Only way Hasu was going to lose game 2 was if he tossed everything at slivko in a big confrontation and executed poorly so I certainly don't blame him for not taking the chance and playing it out smart with good feedback usage.
I was at the venue right now and i have to say the guy who is responsible for booking it should be fired. It is so far off the actual exhibition area that noone is showing up there. They have everything there: seats, live commentary, a stage, ben-q showgirls etc. but there were like 3 spectators. It was quite sad to watch..
How hard can it be to get a few m² IN the actual exhibiton area?
omg ToD played so gooood in the Entombed game harrasing on 3-4 places at the same time doing so much damage, then makes 12 carriers and insta loses the game... :/

Thanks! I try to watch the games as closely as I can so there are a few good questions I can ask at the end for player insight :-) Glad you liked them! <3

It just had to happen. This will probably take a few hours. :D
