The time has come for our thirty-first IGN Pro League Fight Club! This is a weekly king of the hill showmatch series. Basically, there will be a 1 vs. 1 best of 9 showmatch each and every week, where the winner will earn a $500 prize and a $100 bounty on their head. For example, if a player wins three weeks in a row they will have earned $1,500 and a $300 bounty. If a NEW challenger defeats him, they will earn $500 for the showmatch, take the $300 bounty home, and have a new $100 bounty placed on their head for each week that they win.
When: Monday, Aug 27 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also broadcast the match repeatedly afterwards!)
TSL's HyuN has entered the three-win club here at IGN Pro League's Fight Club, joining the ranks of Sheth, HerO, and Squirtle! This week, a relatively under-the-radar Protoss player by the name of FXO.Tear has stepped up to try and take out this rampaging Zerg champion. Tear has shown impressive games in IPL TAC3 and other online tournaments, so now he has a chance to show his skills against a TSL4 qualifier for all to see.

Will the three series curse strike HyuN, or will he be able to overcome? Tear is a sick PvZ player, but I think HyuN is a little over his skill level currently. Probably going to be a close series, but I think HyuN has it in him to win. 5-3 or 5-4 for HyuN.

pretty strong up and coming protoss on FXO. He made a few appearances in the GSTL most notably against Startale in round 2 where he took out Curious, Parting, and Squirtle. He was also one of the top players for FXO in the KSL team league scoring 9 kills for the team. He's been playing very well in a lot of the online korean tournaments

This is pretty smart play by Tear to use in game 1 against Hyun. Hyun's got great mid-game and loves using hydras. He seems to hate teching to tier 3, so seeing infestors is unlikely. Lots of phoenix harass (no risk of fungal) followed up by colossus (since hyun loves his hydras) was really smart mind games by Tear - especially in a game 1 where Hyun is likely to do stuff he's comfortable with.

They're pretty safe on this map, if Tear got the Gateways before the Nexus he would have been fine. Once you have the wall with cannons up and Sentries they aren't going to break you with basic Speedling Roach.

It's how he often plays out PvZs, it will deal damage ofc but hyun's tendancy to really commit and more importantly leaving the protoss army untouched has lead players to realise that they should just counter attack after the 3rd/4th wave.
