The time has come for our next Amateur Ro32 match of the IGN Pro Team League!
When: Tuesday, Aug 21 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
Format
This single-elimination tournament features 26 teams from around the world and is an All-Kill team format. This match is being played for Ro32. The first team to defeat everyone on the opposing team's roster (5 wins, or a best of 9), will move on to the Ro16, while the loser will be eliminated. Keep in mind that the top 4 teams of this bracket will graduate into the IPTL Contender Division next season!

Eclypsia are so much smaller than I remember, sjow, dayshi and welmu should be able to handle most of the teams in the amateur division anyway.

Don't understimate nuBreed!
They are Rank 1 on the ESL Clan War Ladder and they are worrth a good fight. Though Eclypsia has a good line-up...
so I predict 5:3 for EC.

PainUser and HD have not cast any of our daily content since January of this year. They were called in to cast at IPL4 just like Wolf, Khaldor, and dApollo were. It's possible that we will work together again!

They were contracted by IPL from its beginning through January of this year.

You should contract them again, I do love yours and Cats casting but you get a variety with more casters.

Or at least more than a single caster pair. That was, I think, one of main things that held back NASL. Lots of caster fatigue.

Fair enough mate  I'm not expecting Code S quality, but still, these are Pro's right? Some of the plays there were weird. Like the Protoss dropping 4 sentries in the main only to FF the ramp once and then proceed to lose most of his units. A Diamond player would have done better in that situation.

While it always makes me glad when T wins TvP lategame, that was the other side of why the MU is retarded :/ Don't get me wrong, T basically had that when he atleast sniped the 3rd and 4th(and maybe even simply when he held the colossi attack), but that kind of fight, where if all EMPs hit = T wins(and most of the time, if 1 storm goes through P wins) is just really anticlimactic and boring.

Just because it's the amateur divison doesn't mean that the players or the team isn't pro. It's just based on the results in IPL TAC 3, plus a bunch of teams qualified by some qualifier presumably. Teams which dropped out in the losers bracket round 1 seem to have been placed in the amateur division. Getting into the contenders or premier division seems to have required some TAC 3 success.
Fnatic is in the amateur division, even though every one of their players is a full-time pro, I think.

Pretty sure the players on Eclypsia can be defined as Pros. Apparently Eclypsia pays its players quite decently. It was the reason why so many players left BLAST to join it, as did SjoW from Dignitas. Also, Welmu is one of the best Protoss players in Europe, and if he resisted offers from bigger teams, I think it shows that they get paid well.
