ALT Starcraft is excited to announce the third installement of The Gauntlet Showmatch Series!
This time around we have stepped our game and have invited our most fearsome opponent yet! It is none other than the bandana Terran himself,  qxc! Well known for his immense understanding of the Terran race, the recent graduate from Harvey Mudd now has the time and freedom to pursue StarCraft II full time. Well known for his all-kill of Incredible Miracle in GSTL, his insane ability to multitask drops and pressure, and unique aggression, qxc has always been a formidable force. But now, with his attention focused solely on StarCraft II, qxc will be accomplishing huge feats in the months to come. Can Team ALT possibly take down this monster of a scholar?
For those unfamiliar with our Gauntlet series, it is a simple premise: Team ALT challenges a professional player to a 5 game showmatch. The catch? The pro only has himself vs 5 members of Team ALT. For each game, the winner will be awarded $20,with an all kill adding up to a potential $100! It's certainly a marathon for the pro and it will be a testament to his endurance for qxc should not take our players lightly! They have had the time to prepare for his style and qxc will have to face all 3 races. We promise you these matches will be a nail biting fight to the death (not really, but you get it)!

I thought this was the NASL Gauntlet for while. I was disappointed, but actually not by much. The only thing cooler than good KotH tournaments are good outmatched style tournaments.

We've actually had the Gauntlet for 2 months prior to NASL's gauntlet. Totally different concepts though.
And if you think about it, the "outmatch" parameter is really fielded by the fact that qxc, while has the skill and notoriety behind him, it can also work against him. Our players have the advantage of researching him and knowing his strengths and weaknesses. Every Gauntlet we've played thus far has been extremely close (despite what the results may express).

Should be a very exciting set of matches every gauntlet to date has been phenomenal I'm excited to see the outcome of this.

Missed the first game unfortunately, but qxc's doing well in the second. A nice hold and good use of ghosts.

bonk almost had that but those late game engagements were super one sided. needed storm by then.

elige up next for alt, I know very little about him other than he plays mainly on KR server.

Wasn't really paying close attention to that game, but it seemed like qxc was ahead in supply the entire game and was up like 30 supply by the time he got maxed. That was strange.

Another great gauntlet qxc ends up taking 4 matches off ALT but Webz comes out in the end in an epic ZvT! Thanks to everyone who came out and watched this event!

Thanks <3 I actually got really nervous at the end there, which usually isn't a problem for me. I kind of thought I was more ahead then I really was (QXC has a habit of making like, non stop CCs...most of my ladder opponents aren't this good, so I had a bad read on the situation) So I just kind of shoved my units up. First those vikings landed on the high ground and rocked my archons, then....well...that engage on the ramp.
I feel like if I had done it right (Stalkers in the back, allow chargelots and archons foward) the trade would of been a lot closer to equal. Sigh. Great game by QXC though...(after reading this over that sounded sarcastic. I meant it, QXC is a boss. was an honor to play him)
Grats to webz for taking the final game in a pretty epic match on Antiga. That was sick. Well...all the games were pretty sick actually.
And thanks to Luckyfool for watching...can't wait to play you guys in ESEA tomorrow >.>

Thanks for the showmatch, ggs! BTW a BO3 against each player with 3 players in total would be nice, although it's nice that every player of the 5 gets to play.
