iS fighting! Torte is going to carry throughout the league.
|
Oh god I really hope Torte plays. I'll watch this for that alone.
That being said I don't see how iS can lose this.
|
Oh this wasn't streamed yet haha. Watched on Axslav's stream last night with his baller analysis. Some of the games were quite good ♥
+ Show Spoiler +Sanddbox is a really good player

Sorry, I was so self-involved that I didn't add CrazyMoviNG to the roster until now. He'll be on next match!
Player since VT Gaming, taught by the great Frank 'Mirhi' Fields (Arlock knows, sup dude :D!) I'm only a player in managing other players however :B

I wouldn't call IS an amateur team but hopefully seeing as I only know Axslav, Insur and Crazymoving that it'll be a good match overall.
It won't trump RIP ZEEZ NO BM PLZ though XD

The new IPTL stuff's music isn't as good as TAC2/3

Where's Kevin "Kevin Knocke" Knocke?

Can someone tell Jmorrow that he doesn't have to speak like he just got the metabolic boost upgrade?
EDIT: Just noticed Fnatic is in the amateur division. That is the most retarded thing I've ever seen.

sanddbox so gosu
|
amateur division because you have to earn your way up. sadly last season iS qualified and lost pretty early in the main IPL TAC event

They fell down themselves. It's a qualifier any team can fall down to amateur if they do bad at the main event + semi profesisonal league. You do bad in both of those you are in amateur which is fine. Takes away favoritism

Fnatic is Fnatic academy I believe.

Division placings are based on TAC 3 results, and AFAIK Fnatic never played in any of the TACs.

I realize how it works. I'm just surprised they'd put a team with so much more experience in with the 'amateurs'

How do you "realize how it works" yet not realize they can't put them anywhere else? They did not participate in TAC3 (although they were invited IIRC) therefore they could not be in the top 8 and placed in the Premier Division nor could they be in the 9th-16th place spots of TAC3 to be in the Contender Division. That leaves the Amateur Division with the 'amateurs'

Same way the GSL does it with players who don't do Code A.
You give invites.
It atleast gives the actual 'amateur' teams a somewhat level playing field.
No need to be an asshole like 99% of the SC2 community and reply like I slapped your mother.

But in this scenario, giving in invite would have to mean kicking out a team that actually had participated and qualified before. No way they were going to do that, nor should they have.
|
It's essentially just a name of the league to divisionize (probably not a word) the teams. The Premier division is supposed to be the highest group of performers, Contender second group, Amateur third. I think they should probably just change it into something less descriptive. Like the English Premier League, keep it the Premier Divioson, DIvision Two, Division Three or something similar.

I agree but if they were going to do invites I obviously didn't mean just 1 team, there's numerous others that may be willing to participate and shouldn't be in the 'amateur' division
Not to mention I'm pretty sure their Amateur qualifier for IPL5 came with a rule about SC2 earnings? Would have liked to see it here while making the Contender division bigger.
