I think roach drops, when executed correctly, are the ultimate answer. The massive investment to sentries will be absolutely useless, and sentries are the backbone of that army.

I think there was some GSL game where DRG absolutely crushed this all-in on entombed valley with roach drops, sadly I can't recall what the game was. It will put a dent in your eco yes, but it is not impossible to have it at around 10 mins.

such investment might be worth it against this particular build

but the problem is toss has more allins, and some would crush face against a zerg that techs lair+drop that quickly

for example a mass gateway timing attack would be very hard to stop, or blink stalker allins

to get lair that quickly you need to sacrifice a lot of other things, and you need to make these sacrifices before you know what protoss is doing

i guess the only way is to try to delay his push and bait forcefields on the middle of the map and then setup a flank like violet tried?

yep theres a ton of different maneovers you need to do and have them work out and then its definetly possible to stop this immortal allin.
if it wasnt possible to stop with the standard zerg timings everyone would do this build pretty much every game

violet were on the right track but its not just about massing units and macroing correctly and you stop it. you need to actually do so many things right and in the end youll kill the toss army without losing your drones or the 3rd hatch. it is just extremely hard to say the least

Do you feel as a pro it's a fair tradeoff difficulty wise to deflect this, it sounds like one of the most challenging builds to hold off as a Zerg player

all good and well executed protoss builds are very difficult to play against.
the difficulty comes mostly from figuring out whats going on and getting the right tools at the right timings to have a chance to stop it.
if you make drones or units at wrong timings its almost near impossible to stop allins or not fall behind vastly in case they play for 3rd base
