We are happy to announce a showmatch between Ziktomini and Vera Lynn. This match will be ZvZ, one of the mirror-matchups we all seem to worry about (and another head-butt between the English and the Irish!). It will all come down to timings, micro and last but not least, skill, for both of these players to win this showmatch.

About Ziktomini:
Ziktomini is a British Zerg player that hasn’t been out there for long. We know him best for his winnings at DreamHack Open: Summer where he made it to the Ro32 stage where he beat well-known players like Stephano and Bly. He also won the WCS United Kingdom Finals where he beat DeMuslim with 2-1. He is part of the team, Western Wolves.
About Vera:
Vera is an Irish Zerg player on both NA and EU. She has been Grandmaster on NA since since season 7, placing 48th at close of season. As of this season she is one of the few female players who is GM on EU being consistently in the top 100. Vera is quite an unknown player, currently teamless, who is trying to turn pro and compete in more tournaments. Aside from high-level StarCraft II-play, she regularly gives free coaching on her stream to viewers and casts a number of tournaments.

This is going to be a really close match both are strong players but it is ZvZ. I have the feeling that Ziktomini will pull out ahead with a 5-3 win. Best of luck to both players~! I can't wait to watch this :D

Hard to predict when I haven't ever seen Vera play before, but it's always exciting when new names try to rise so I'll make sure to watch this! And since I lived in Ireland for a while, I'm gonna have to cheer for her. It's rare to get the chance to cheer for Ireland in SC2

It's pretty hard to pick a winner Ziktomini just won WCS but I've seen him getting owned by Vera a few times should be fun to watch.

The only thing I've seen of Vera is the recent showmatch against desRow and she didn't impress. Different match-up now but Ziktomini have taken some big scalps there. I'll be rooting for the upset, gl Vera.

Inside joke? I didn't realize that the coveted "girls in the kitchen" stereotype was such a big secret.
Let me take a second to explain:
There's this stereotype left over from the earlier part of the 1900's where women had their roles mainly in the kitchen. It wasn't until the latter half of the century, mostly thanks in part to WW1 and WW2, that women began emerging from the kitchen and gaining other roles in society (helping make artillery shells etc). Nowadays, it's very modern and more common for women to break free of the "stay at home mom" role that they've taken for a century or two (associating them with the kitchen).
My mistake was that this was common knowledge, and that the irony and sarcasm wouldn't have been lost in the post. My sincerest apologies AlternativeEgo, I hope you can find it deep down in your heart to forgive me, even if only sarcastically as I pose to you this question:
