Imo he is doing it because shields upgrades are for both - air and ground units, while they have separate armor upgrades. Imo it is worth it if you plan to switch to airtoss.

The macro nexus is an urban legend I blame Artosis for. I don't believe it exists any more than Bigfoot until I see it with my own eyes
