Hello everybody welcome to another season of ESEA Starcraft 2! Congratulations to Team Infinity Seven for winning Season 11 and Check-Six who came in second place. ESEA season 12 is going to be starting Sunday August 5th, 2012, and signups will be ending on July 30th, 2012. You can register your team here register , make sure you have created an account and your team before signing up.
-Make sure you have 4 paid members by the 30th to secure your spot in the league.
-Prize pool of $5000
-Open season, any team can sign up
-4 bo3s first team to 3 wins, ace match if necessary
-1 match a week, 8 weeks in a season + playoffs
-Rules and map list can be found here rules
League coverage is done by Conan "Suppy" Liu which can be found @ eseanews, www.teamliquid.net and www.reddit.com.

Is there a list anywhere of all the teams that will be playing this season? There hasn't been any other updates yet on TL or TLPD. The Season started on Sunday but I haven't seen anything about it yet

there's 32 teams, but only an 8 week season, and 1 match per week? that math doesn't add up

That would be awesome if they allow it.
Also, I just wanted to add that ESEA News is looking at potential candidates to take over for Suppy. In the mean time, I've done some updating myself and will make a new thread to have discussions on the season as it continues and to hold any stream information as it comes up.
I mostly watch SC2 more then I play as I haven't played StarCraft super seriously since it was my first online game and was in a face clan where our leader topped the ladder (I forget his name now). However, I was lame and quit StarCraft when BW came out since I found other races getting cloaked units too difficult for my cloaked ghost-self HAHA. I'm currently a CS 1.6 League admin for ESEA (and have been for the last 3 seasons) as well as one of the main CS 1.6 League writers for ESEA News. I will gladly help in any way possible and contact da_bears if necessary.
Either way, I digress from the main point of my post. I have updated the Liquipedia to hold the information for this season, and will update it as much as possible. GL!

P.S. There is a Team EG that all of the sudden showed up on the team list, is that really you guys Incontrol? I assumed it was a fake since there is a Suppy on the roster with a brand new account which didn't make much sense.

I assumed it was a fake as well seeing as how the player ages are different and EG isn't spelled out how it usually is. Nice to see EG back in esea though.

I'm so pumped to be casting up this season! We've got a lot of good up and coming/new teams playing this season. As well as many notable teams such as Root, Evil Geniuses, Light, Its GoSu, Infinity Seven. Let's see if another team can have as dominating of a run as Infinity Seven did last season going 20-0 :D

I can bring it up during the next league meeting, but the move into Europe for CS needs to take baby steps so the community can really grow and flourish. From that point on, we can see some fun.
