I wonder if Kenzy will finally be able to participate. Winning the qualifier and not playing in the actual tournament three times in a row will be pretty awkward and funny

Stephano - forGG - Mana - Nerchio - Violet ?

Protoss coming : +Mana, +Fraer, + Adelscott.

you guys should host a end year off-line finals~
|
At least Polt is finding time to defend his MSI Pro Cup title, instead of purely practicing for GSL.
|
Yay! MSI is back. You gotta love the end of the monthe

New players have been announced. "For Aiur !"

Polt Fighting!!!!!!!!!!

Gonna get harder and harder for polt to keep winning this. Nice line-up !
|
We apologize for the misunderstanding. Symbol is the last participant, not PartinG as it has been written earlier.
|
Nice line up! Symbol is a beast
|
Brackets please!

Wooh, fancy. Upper half will play today?
I'm excited for Coca vs fraer and Lucifron vs Bly, should be cool!
Thanks for consistently putting on such cool tournaments!
|
Awesome trailer as always
|
Wow this honestly looks like the best bracket for MSI Pro Cup ever.
|
Why doesnt Stephano play in his own team's cup, this is like the sickest cups out there.
|
|
|
Adel is clearly gonna beat the shit out of everybody in this
|
|
|
Such a good tournament, such good players. No English cast is why i never watch.
|
usually khaldor uses to be the english caster, i'm surprise that no one have asked to be a caster (front page they accept apply)
|
Woohoo, one more win, fraer, well done, he barely lost anything.

He's busy casting the Monthly ZOTAC Cup today.

Can not wait for Polt to defend his throne :D
|
Oh no CoCa, why did you decide to all-in like that....
Doesn't matter, CoCa takes a huge advantage with the power of good engagements and Infestors, despite being 10 workers down compared to Fraer.

Insane game fraer vs coca, fraer has an economic advantage and loses mass infestors with roaches -_-
|
Coca is a really interesting Zerg to watch. A very low eco style vs a 160 sup Toss usually ends in a masacre for the Zerg. Coca was choosing his engagements very careful though and showed strong control. Another player with a similiar play is Symbol with his hydra/corruptor style. The advantage seems to be that you are very safe vs the typical two base pushes but in the lategame I cannot really see how you transition to Ultras/Broodlors if you have been unable to prevent the Toss getting a crucial number of Immortals/Archons/Colossi.

Hmmm, expected a lot more from ViBE, especially after his WCS America win.

Adelscott does have really weird builds that deviate from standard builds in PvZ, so that really throws off his opponents. Wonder if his PvT is like that, so he can take on Polt with his "weirdness".
I'm calling it, 1 gate expo is going to be the standard after seeing it's effectiveness here.

Oh, thanks for explaining that, I don't have sound here :/
That French style of PvZ seems to follow the idea of Europeans being the innovators in terms of builds, and used on unsuspecting Americans.

His build is really old in fact. It's very effective, as you saw, against players who don't know Adel (he took a game vs Symbol, beat viOLet or players of that caliber) but in France it don't works AT ALL. The best proof is his bad 9-12th place in the WCS France where he loses against an unknown Zerg.
|
Did the brackets change? I noticed there was no Bly vs Kas on the Liquipedia page or on the OP's bracket.

Did the WCS have a positive effect on Adel ? It's too early to say but he got very near from qualifying to both Assembly and IEM so I guess it's a little more than surprise effect - it's not Naama or Elfi ...

Kas is owning Bly right now. If this keeps up, it is going to be a Polt vs Kas series after.
|
Is there a english stream?
|
the steam don't load, even in their website Am I the only one ?
|
Kas's macro is incredible, despite losing 86 SCVs, he is only 20-30 supply down from Bly, who was hardly economically harrassed this game.
|
|
|
Sloppy game on both sides, but Kas's macro made it more interesting.

Pretty cool what just happened between the french and polish community,
Llewellys told the french viewer that Emil, the polish caster has just broke his record with 1 k viewers, so he told the french guys to write gratz to Emil on his sc2 account.
And we did it, so tons of gratz appeared on his stream, Emil starts to laugh then he switched on his web cam and we saw that tears was coming to his eyes.
Emil deserves it cuz he's casting MSI pro cup for a very long time now and with consistency. So GG to him !
|
Well played by Bly after a pretty horrendous first game. Polt vs Bly should be interesting because of their history, but I think Polt has the edge over Bly.

Should be more practice for him then, and considering Shine is the better player, beating Bly should be no problem (as well, TSL players do well against Bly ). I think CoCa is going to be the biggest threat to Polt, because I really doubt that Adelscott will beat CoCa, but if even Adelscott beats CoCa, he is going to face up against Polt's best MU. If the cards play right, should be an easy path to the finals.
First map TDA, so if Bly goes the same build he did against Kas, he should get crushed.

Llewellys was mean! I was not able to cast for 5 freaking minutes! http://scr.hu/5qp/ifzyw ( print screen from one of my viewers)
Thank You all for your msg with congratulations, got around 100 of them in 1 minute. Wanted to reply to every single one of them but we had to change the server
Got to 1277 viewers. I could not be happier!!!
Millenium , Llewellys and MSI PRO CUP ROCKS!!

GL Adel and Kenzy ! This is gonna be too hard maybe though :-(

I am very impressed by the trailer from the OP. So well done....

i don't think that khaldor will cast tonight but we will see
|
That was a genius play by Symbol there.
|
Mana with the classic, letting two roach slip in your main base into losing the game...
|
Finally, a PvZ that does not have a FFE. Seeing some old school PvZ again, though Symbol is reacting quite well.
|
litteraly outplayed .. :s

I'd like to thank Llewellys a lot. That's some awesome tournament right there.

Symbol just outplayed MaNa right there.

That was a great game on Symbol's part. Great decision making to Baneling bust like that.
|
|
|
Annoying that they use Dailymotion, no way to lower stream quality for slower connections.

Symbol truly outplayed SuperNoVa. Easily could make it to the finals if he continues to play like this.

u have the polonish stream who is on twich tv
|
Is SuperNoVa seriously going to 1/1/1 in a TvZ?
And this is why Shakuras is obsolete, Terran is allowed to do things like this which is nearly impossible to counter without taking heavy damage.
|
Doesn't matter apparently as Symbol shows why he is the better player than SuperNoVa.
|
symbol is just better, in every point

Puzzle is trolling so hard, Pylon blocking the entrance in TDA with against a Zerg who went Pool first with Gas.
|
puzzle wants to go to the serious business quickly
|
Oh come on Puzzle, did you not expect something cheesy from a weaker player who got Pylon blocked?
|
|
|
That was just pathetic play by Puzzle. How did you not expect Nydus when they were obviously not taking an expansion, especially on TDA.
|
1 base games in PvZ. Brings back memories.
|
Kenzy in code S ! Make it happen GOM !
|
"Kenzy beat a code S player, and since Stephano don't want to take the spot, we will give it to KenZy."
FUCK YES
|
|
|
Puzzle, please stop fucking around and actually start trying. If you seriously lose to KenZy next game, I will lose all faith in you.
|
Ai ai ai ai ai ))
The streamer comp just crashed
On the liquipedia page it says Parting was invited, but i dont see him in the brackets. Any info on that?

it was a mistake it's symbol instead of parting

It was a mistake. Parting has never been invited for this MSI Pro Cup, a Millenium writer failed in the news apparently.
|
Failed Cannon rush is putting Puzzle further behind. Now he gets Lings in his base after he failed to wall-in properly. Is Puzzle drunk or tired out of his mind today? He is making such dumb mistakes today.
|
Thanks for the info guys. Too bad there is no english stream this time, the player pool looks very nice.
|
KenZy throws away a won game. Really shows who is the better player beyond cheese.
|
I have to admit that, even if Puzzle played poorly, i really underrated KenZy. Grats to him
|
|
|
Should be a good series coming here. Two strong Euro players going at it.
LucifroN must have been watching Polt replays, because he is using the exact same +1/Stim/Combat Shield/Bio/Hellion build that Polt uses often.

But they are grown men broadcasting on the internet. The INTERNET. I would think English makes more sense then French on this place called the INTERNET?

Their man focus is the french market as well as the focus of their sponsors, but keep going with your non sense you probably know more about how things should be than them.
On the bright side MSI apparently is asking millenium to grow their market, it means they are going to take better care of having other streamers in, but that's very recent, like I said their main focus is very clear, but at least it's changing.

If he had instead attacked with his entire army right after he dragged a bunch of marines into the terran base, he would have cleared out all of the tanks and probably killed a lot of SCV's at the 3rd.
Now I know this isn't the place to theorycraft, but I'm just making a point as to why you're completely incorrect in your reasoning.

Are you kiddin' guys ? As sure as we like watching games and streams in english we also really like having streams with vocabutarie and cultural references we share (god, this thing is so far from my english capacities). Having a french cast is so important in so much ways, none can tell it shouldn't exist. By the way, really sad you mate can't enjoy this kid of a nice cup

And of course it would be great if there was another English caster, especially since Khaldor is always very busy and rarely has time for MSI Cups. I'm okay with watching the french stream, but more options would be great.

Are the replays going to be available from this cup? Some replays were posted from last cup but most of them were missing.

If the games allign properly, we can have another TSL team-kill between Polt and Symbol. Provided that Polt can beat the winner of Adelscott and CoCa (almost certainly CoCa), and Symbol can beat LucifroN (probably going to happen).

MSI Pro Cup #12 is delayed because of Patch 1.5 deployment on US server.

I hope we get a english caster this time, i can never watch MSI Pro cup because its always in french...
Not many people speak french so I dont know how they expect anyone to watch a french stream?

From Millenium web site " La date de l'issue de la compétition sera connue très bientôt. À la place, vous retrouverez Adelscott en ladder sur la Millenium TV."
"The date of the end of the competition will be known soon. It's replace by Adelscoot playing on ladder"

Seriously you got tempbanned not even two days ago and you're complaining again ? You already told this on the previous page... and got an answer already : there is usually an english stream by Khaldor.
Millenium is primarily focusing on the French community and as such, an event casted in french every once in a while is not gonna hurt, especially when it's normally casted in english, too.

Yes but they stream on the INTERNET dont they? So why would they use French? Its very stupid to shut out 99% of the viewers like that in my opinion.
Im sure those casters could just speak english instead and the view numbers would skyrocket!
This is 2012 on the Internet, no reason to speak french at all!

No offense, but for viewers just starting to watch sc2, a caster is nice to explain things. But after a while, you should be able to enjoy games due to what the players are doing instead of following the hype from the casters. People seem to watch Korean streams fine without English commentary. Again, it is a 'nice to have' but not a necessity for the experience viewers.

You may watch while youre training because you want to studdy and improve your own play by learning from others, and sometimes you might watch eating a snack or resting, maybe even having a beer chilling, not studdying the game at all.
I watch then because naturally as I follow starcraft and a couple of Terran players especially since I studdy them and their play I start to cheer for them also. So I usually watch when they play not necessairly for training purpose but in hopes of seeing them win while im chilling out. I might go back later without sound and pause/play back and forth to studdy but alot of times I just want the show, and I studdy and learn later.
I very rarely try to studdy or learn from live broadcasts, thats from replays or VODs.
Maybe this is why I enjoy casters like DjWHEAT, CatsPyjamas etc the most over analythical casters. Good analythical caster is cool from time to time too but usually on the live thing I want the show, and im cheering for a guy!
Oh and im pending top 10 master league in EU.
And no, what you're saying is wrong. If you watch for the show then a caster is nice no matter how experienced you are. I love to listen in to for example TotalBiscuit casting a game while chilling and recovering after a workout. When he brings a show he's one of my absolute favorites!
Oh and also I can listen to some languages that I dont understand while I watch something. I think Korean, Chinese and Russian for example is soothing and cool (however the show suffers when you dont understand.) but French is NOT one of these!! Its terrible pain in my ears!!
No offence back at ya btw.

Millenium guys are bad in english but perfectionnist. They prefere not providing any english casting, than a bad one. I respect that.
That's why they say in OP that if people want to cast it in english, they can. It's free, i guess the only thing they ask is to put a MSI logo in the overlay (not even sure).
It's not M fault if nobody else want to cast it (i don't understand why considering the line up).

Oh well, easier road for Polt I guess. Adel has a very sharp PvT too, more or less the same than his PvZ (an early midgame timing off gateways) but he often failed at making the right decision following a good push (or a bad one). It seems he worked on that and on diversity.

What the hell is going on today, Adelscott taking out CoCa and Polt 2-0 today.

Maybe it is something to do with the fact it's 2:10 AM in Korea, but that was nowhere near Polt's level of play.

Polt is used to playing late tho, he plays in a lot of European online cups.

Polt is a strange case, he either does well in foreign tournaments and sucks at Korean LANs, or succeeds in Korea but sucks at foreign tournaments.

Let's hope Symbol can avenge Polt by reaching the finals and defeating Adelscott.

Let's not undermine Adelscott play. I hope Adel could play in the next GSTL as a wildcard sniper. He could do wonder if opponents are unprepared and they will.

Adelscott definitely could be useful in GSTL, because the players will underestimate him and get caught off guard.

LOL Wut, why would LucifroN gg there? Sure, he lost 10+ Hellions, but he still had an army at home...

Adellscott vs Symbol in the finals will be glorious.

LucifroN still has a long way to go before he can match up against players like Symbol. Great effort by him though. Now it's time for Symbol to avenge Polt!

Anything can happen with Adelscott''s all-ins

I noticed that Symbol is playing a lot safer and not rushing for a third it appears. He probably watched Adelscott's play and is responding perfectly.
Fuck yeah, if only every other Zerg had responded like this.

My God, is Adelscott incapable of playing a macro game beyond 15 minutes, or does Millenium force him to do all-ins and Cannon rush always? Doesn't matter, Symbol is crushing him.

Sick game by both but Symbol takes game 2 with pure infestors lol.

Adel is so far below Symbol's level, it's not even funny. Well, actually, it's funny

It's obvious that Adelscott is a fairly mediocre player, just get's lucky with all-ins that Koreans aren't familiar with. Symbol showing that he is the FAR better player by leagues.

How Polt was able to lose to Adel? o_o. I hope that he just played really below his level because he doesn't care about the cup anymore (because of WCS for example) because losing to Adelscott is really really sad.

Gateway all-ins that Polt was probably not that familiar with. I think it's mostly Polt simply not caring about foreign tournaments recently, and probably played because he did not want to look bm.
Or maybe he didn't want to reveal his strategies against TAiLS in WCS.

Hey the haters, keep your negative attitude out of the thread. Adelscott just beat two Coda A Koreans with timings and all-ins. That's something to recognize, of course Adel doesn't have the same macro as every Korean he beat and would lose in a straight-up macro game. He really stepped up his game since the WCS and deserves to be acknowledge as such.

So I prefer to say Code A to classify them as good koreans. Not high profile like Seed, MC or DRG but very good nonetheless.

And Polt probaly just doesnt care and wants to concentrate on WCS because I bet you if Polt had this high up on his priority list he would have won.
That is not so say Adel is not good no he is quite good for EU but he is not on the level of Polt and Symbol

This makes no sense. A season ago, and you would have not even used Seed as a high profile player.
Polt and Coca are Code S caliber players. Polt is actually Code S and Coca should be in Code S.

I'm saying they are both Code A in order to avoid this kind of meaningless discussion about who should be in Code S and who shouldn't because it's a rather thin frontier nowadays with Seed being there and MVP not being in. Guess I was the only one getting the memo.
