special announcement
In the end it was not possible to find a date at which all players or at least the majority of the players would be available. Therefore, as Nerchio was the only player available at the origional date, he was declared the winner of the tournament.
Just to give you guys a heads-up. There will be six of those :D Other dates not confirmed yet as lots of big events are coming up. We try not to colide with them too much so you don't have the hard choice to make or miss any of the action
Apparently aLive almost forgot about his MLG Arena attandance, so when we double checked with him, he had to cancel his participation in the GIGABYTE NVIDIA Invitational. But I think we found a nice replacement with Bomber and aLive should be able to join us for one of the other tournaments. Also check out the other invited players.
The last two players will be announced tomorrow including the matchups - any guesses?
Every single one of those players (well, maybe not Bomber, but he still is extremely nice to watch) has a very special way of playing and guarantees entertaining games.
Oh cool I'm glad this is potentially becoming a regular thing. I wish I could have seen more last weekend but I had conflicting plans. I wish I could have seen that Marineking vs Creator series
As for this one, the line up looks pretty good so far. I hope Bomber can step up and take it. I want him to have a little more success. He seems to be wavering back and forth lately

What? You mean you don't like to see manner mules before the game is actually won? Bomber must hold the record for longest game time after manner mules are dropped!!!

Nightend playing with 5 seconds delay i think. No wonder he has problems.
Why would Nightend have worse delay then Bomber?
He is playing from Romania isnt he? People are saying bomber is doing so well despite his lag, however it isnt apparent from the games that bomber is having any worse lag than nightend.

they are playing in the EU server i think, and korea doesnt have really good connection to EU.

I doubt, that they are playing on EU, Khaldor was using his "noexcuses"-account, which is located on NA afaik.

last invitational they played all EU vs KR games on NA. I don't see why that would change

Well it was Bomber that was dropping on the screen. And Nightend asked who was lagging and bomber said it was him. So I would assume Bomber was having it a bit worse, but that doesn't really matter... Unfortunately lag or not, Nightend just isn't quite at Bombers level just yet. He has a lot of potential but right now isn't there yet.

anyway, fuckyeah nightend hwaiting!
All three servers will be used throughout the tournament to not favor a particular player due to a great ping advantage. But Bomber vs. NightEnD is on NA right now
I didn´t like T-ZaiN´s marine control here, banelings connected on 5-6 marines everytime. Unfortunately Khaldor does not stream on ultra graphics, so it was not that spectacular. Anyway, gogo 3-1 ThorZaiN.
I love that build by Thorzain, I think a 2 medivac + stim timing is the new way to pressure Zerg in the early game. IMO you should never attack without medivacs anymore. Queens are great now but having 2 medivacs negates 4 queens worth of damage entirely.
Honestly, I don't understand why terran don't do this more often. They complain about zerg being greedy yet they let them get away with it. Zerg can not defend against early marines with medivac support, unless they blind counter with a banelings nest. You need splash to defend against medivac/marine timings.

Moon made 20 lings to try to force a lift on Thorzains natural. But was actually allowed to get into the main. Thorzain GG'ed 1 second after he saw the lings got in (lings didn't even kill any units yet).
I won a GTX 670 graphics card and a triton headset from the last even GIGABYTE hosted. You guys are fucking awesome. too bad its in Europe though and not So Cal.
Dimaga really does need to diversify in his ZvP strategies, I always see him go for this Ling/Bling/Overlord Drop build, but it never really goes that well for him.

Yeah thats what I mean. I think he would have alot more successes that way. But can't blame him for really wanting to get back into Code S and win it all.
The last game will start as soon as ret is back on his PC. We are a bit ahead of the schedule atm but should take about 10 minutes max. Take the chance and get food and drinks :D
Because some of the players are not available for some reasons, the rest of the event will be postponed to an unknown date as of yet. Defwins or replacements at this stage of the tournament are in our opinion no option We might combine it with the date of the third Invitational or just pick one specific day. We will announce this in time, so don't be afraid of missing any of the games
Sorry for the inconvenience and have a great weekend of SC2! Kind regards, Donathan
That's somewhat unusual. If a player does not show up they usually forfeit. Now a player can not show up and the tournament gets postponed until the player can get around to playing? Not sure I like this development. Players should only commit to a tournament if they can fulfill the fixtures. Someone else could have had the opportunity to play and win the prize money.

Absolutely agree. Its unprofessional.
This is a clear defwin for the guys who showed up and a disqualification for those who didnt. I also hope that they will not receive any price money - though that will depend on their agreement with the tournament organization.
It's reasonable to postpone a tournament if the players SAY IN ADVANCE that they have problems showing up. When they fail to provide notice and don't show up, regardless of their number or caliber, that's a defloss in my book.
