Conversely more and more Koreans are leaving their teams and practice environments.
However, if one looks at actual results over the period of this year it can be concluded that there is still a huge skill gap which foreign professional players acknowled. Maybe the gap is closing some but that can only be determined after a longer period of time than the last couple of months foreigners began winning a few tournaments.

You can't really draw conclusions from that. I'm not drawing any conclusions from NASL, it's just a trend that's happening .. a year ago the 'average' koreans used to dominate foreign tourneys against some of the best foreigners, always picking up top 3/5/6 literally depending on the number of koreans entering, it was total domination.
Nowadays you have to admit that it's nothing like that anymore.

I know ret advanced, but what about the other 2 matches? Have they been played yet? Is the OP just a terrible slacker and hasn't updated?

Imagine a tournament with top 50 koreans and top 50 europeans in it. Pulling numbers out of my ass i'd wager on something like 13 koreans in ro16. We're talking about pros, there are less Eu pros than there are Kor ones. The average skill may even be in favor of Eu pros considering the amount of poor Kor pros. a top 30 Kor is a pro but a top30 Eu is not a pro.
Sure, make it 20 from each then, there are surely more than 20 pro europeans. It would be a slaughter house vs top 20 koreans.

Is HuK really that affected by the pressure of defending his home country's pride, or just being outplayed by Alicia?

Ur really retarded if u dont think puzzle is top32 korean, he's slayers ACE player and slayer is at least top4 team in KR. how can u say he's average, lol? everything isn't about making code S ro8 every season, sigh.

I just hope Huk has been practicing and trying to get back into form, as long as he is trying thats all one can ask, but if the eg frat house rumours are true then he deserves to be embarassed like this in front of his home crowd.

MC obliterated PuMa, Stephano smacked HerO down and Ret beat Puzzle down.
I chose those verbs carefully.

He didn't look too hot in the TSL qualifiers either.
