Oh well, at least this means we get MC Stephano before it gets too late in EU!

This is what happens when you overhype a squad player.

There are only very few Europeans in those tournaments and they done amasing. I dont get you point. Last MLG we had 2 EU players in top 5 and they had better win ratio vs the koreans

Im not saying there isnt a gap but its getting smaller and smaller every month and more and more foreigner players is going pro

I think you are confused because there are a few very good foreigners, but the overall gap is still huge. Imagine a tournament with top 50 koreans and top 50 europeans in it. Pulling numbers out of my ass i'd wager on something like 13 koreans in ro16.

We're talking about pros, there are less Eu pros than there are Kor ones. The average skill may even be in favor of Eu pros considering the amount of poor Kor pros. a top 30 Kor is a pro but a top30 Eu is not a pro.

I wouldn't say NASL Koreans are weak. Alicia second at MLG championship and MC currently GSL Ro4? You are contradicting yourself. >.>

when did alicia get ro4? u mean hero?

Alicia has never got a GSL ro4. He is in Code B right now. Second at MLG was his first impressive result in like a year so it could easily be a fluke.

I edited, but I meant MC is Ro4 in Code S.

Well we knew HuK has been struggling for a while now, but I was really hoping we would see that HuK top form in Canada

Losing to Scarlett was a big sign though (although Scarlett is an excellent player)

I feel bad for the crowd, all the hyping of HuK by the NASL seems really anti climactic now. But hey, what can ya do. At least if he somehow pulls back and wins it'll be even more epic.

Man, wonder why HuK was so aggressive? Seemed kind of pointless attacking up a ramp guarded by stalkers and a few sentries and then trying again right after the first failed attack.

HuK went out with the wrong flag obviously - he should have waved the one from his corporate overlords who rule everything :D

not anymore dude.

Koreans used to CRUSH foreigners a year ago, nowadays you don't see it anymore as most of the games are so close it can go either way (ofc unless theres some gimmicky unscouted all-in).

Rest of the world has caught up with Koreans even though they still practice significantly less. Just goes to show you how low the skill ceiling is in sc2 compared to BW since anyone can beat anyone at the highest level.

Why do people keep saying this? Koreans are still dominating whether you wanna admit it or not. One tournament won't change that.

Remember the time when whenever say 6 Koreans would be invited to foreign tourneys they would take top 6 in convincing fashion?

Those days are long gone and instead of the gap increasing (which is what logically should happen when koreans practice so much more and are much more dedicated) it has decreased and is still decreasing way too fast.

There's no "domination" anymore, it's just who plays better and who's luckier on a given day.

Lol the gap is getting closer... but it's still very much there. Don't delude yourself... lol

GO ALICIA!

keep telling yourself that, just don't be surprised if Stephano or Ret win NASL (which would have NEVER happened a year ago)

Look, you got the best foreigners vs average koreans (besides MC). You can't really draw conclusions from that.

Calling Alicia/puzzle and Hero average koreans is laughable

Well they're not exactly the cream of the crop...

What is the explanation for Nerchio taking out MC 3 1in HSC5 so?
sample size. do you honestly believe nerchio is a stronger player than MC?

No , but Nerchio defense vs allins is world top. MC is known of his PvZ 2/3 base Allins..( he simple cant play long macro game vs zerg. ), when Nerchio def vs first pushes its was all over.

This has been the most truthful statement concerning skill level in the whole thread.

(not entirely true, but better than everything else mentioned)

huk is far from a top foreigner right now.. And yeah, Id love to see huk to come back and win again but these games are depressing, wonder whats going on with him
