Sheth, Illusion, and Suppy all signed up, and they are some of NA's finest right now. Yes, Canada does get the short end of the stick, but with the tournament scene as saturated as it is, there are bound to be conflicts no matter what weekend it is. I still hope that IPL allows for an Open Bracket for the main event though. It's nice when premier events have them.

This weekend X is on, next Y is on, the one after is Z... etc it was talked about a lot do it on weekdays have more qualifiers have an open bracket. any of these please... the problem is that there are many TSL qualifiers, each with 1 spot + more by points. there is ONE ipl5 qualifier for 8 spots in one go. if you think about it, for any given single TSL qualifier, there were people that couldn't make it. if TSL only had ONE qualifier like IPL seems to have, there's bound to be people who can't make it. it's just that IPL has chosen to have only one qualifier, hence the scheduling problem. if they had a weekday qualifier there's still bound to be many who can't make it. i'm thinking a good idea would make THIS qualifier for 6 spots. then have another american one for 2 spots on a weekday next week maybe for anyone who complains. of course this would be a logistical nightmare, but it would be a good compromise.

I agree it;s difficult but there does have to be some compromise by IPL maybe like u said moving a couple spots to a weekday maybe have WCS Canada top two qualify, more then 1 qualifier at least maybe a weekend one and a weekday one. something ![]() ![]() ![]()

this might be a problem especially for the korean satellite =/ teams like NSH or prime or such might have a bit of a hard time paying for a RO40 spot (essentially an open bracket position)

And, in IdrA's case at least he chose to cast rather than use downtime to practice and compete in this, so it's not like he's relevant to the conversation. But the bigger problem is that the top 8 qualify from this, wheras just 1 qualified from the regional. So, nine qualifiers from a region, 1 from one tournament and 8 from another. Just screwy and poorly designed.

Just screwy and poorly designed. How is IdrA not relevant? Because he has an opportunity to make bank casting for NASL? Thats just dumb, he is the most popular NA player and not having him will cost them at least 2-3k viewers, even more if he decides to stream. I think that things like these are going to be huge deals when you look at issues with over saturation. I dont want to spend every weekend watching tournaments (I think a large majority of the community feels the same, there are other things to life) and this tournament is now much lower on my radar and if it is in the middle of a busy tournament stretch then this will probably be the weekend I go do other things. When all the tournaments are stacked with great players I want to see tournaments with players I have a connection with, like those competing in various events over the next two weekends in the US and Europe.
