That's ok they just make less money which is a smart decision right? It's far more lucrative to hold the tournament especially considering it's online for when more big names can appear. Hold it during the week you'll get a lot more views then you will this weekend especially considering the player pool. It's just dumb to hamstring yourself like this.

It's about the interest your tournament will have if you miss on idra, huk, stephano, withera, nerchio, scarllet, kas, etc.. etc.. If it's Korean code S, A or B alone against each other this tournament will have zero interest to me, because for koreans vs koreans i will always watch GSL.. What i expect from foreign events is korea vs the world, if you miss out on that I for once won't watch it. I have bought premium ticket for IPL 3 and 4 and would probably buy for 5 but won't if there isn't any players i actually like and admire. Again i like DRG, MKP bla bla but for those i have my GSL premium ticket.. ok? Same shit with MLG if they don't correct the ratio to atleast world 50 - 50 korea i won't pay because that's not fun for me.. I like to see Koreans fight against the underdog i don't need to see them smash a lower quality NA and EU player and have a korean top 16

Yes IPL was one of the first but as soon as they saw that WCS, MLG and NASL were in those weekends they should have reacted.

No, GoSuIllusion does not as far as I'm aware. QuanticIllusion does. EDIT: However it doesn't say anywhere that you have to be from North America to play in this.

It is stated that, "There will only be one Satellite for America, one for Europe, and one for Asia. Each player may only participate in one of the American, European, or Asian Satellites" meaning players can only play in ONE region and not all three correct? Hwangsin and Illusion were just kicked out of the bracket after being put on there by IPL. If there was a problem originally, I would appreciate if they were not put on the bracket and only told the day off that they cannot participate. Edit: It was stated in the other IPL thread and not this one that, "Players must live in the listed region at the time of the qualifier and may only play in one of the European, North American, or Korean Satellites."

This would mean that players like Major who is living in Korea would not be able to participate right? Pretty shitty to not list the Region Requirements properly in the thread for the event ![]()

Not very surprising. if there weren't a ton of walkovers this thing probably woundn't have gotten off the ground. 110 ish players signed up, 65 showed up and there was 1 admin trying to coordinate the entire thing, manually clocking no shows, recording wins/losses, updating the bracket, answering player questions. poor guy
