Those had way less tournaments. Two weeks ago were internation regional, week after the Amateur regional. Their schedule have been up since 16 of may so cant really complain about late notice

Isn't there room for flexibility? I don't want to an IPL in which there is a dearth of top players because they failed to play in the satellites.

The Arena was announced a full month after our Satellites as well. Events overlap, it can't be helped. MLG has their schedule, NASL has their schedule, and we have ours. It's unfortunate that busy players can't play in everything, but on the other side of the coin, some new or unexpected players may be able to see some success. We are grateful that IdrA and yourself would like to participate in this Satellite, but StarCraft tournaments are a very busy space right now.

They want maximum participation from amateurs and pros who attend school. It's better to hold it during the weekend for those players, but weekends conflict with tournaments for a lot of the established career pros.

Even so, you didn't do anything when the events were announced, you didn't try to re-arrange or cater for players. It sounds like you were just "we got the date first, not our fault", even though it makes your event worse. And then teams, Why didn't EG or any other team know of these conflicts, given that everything was announced far in advance, they only come out now and speak about "short notice". Everything just feels so sloppy and unprofessional.

The best course of action for IPL was to avoid both and to delay this until after MLG Summer Arena. But given that they're in competition with MLG, I understand why they don't want to back off when MLG announced their dates later. But NASL - NASL came first, it's logical to avoid that date.

Seriously, AskJoshy, give me a valid reason why you waited until now to post this thread.

But the fact that you are basically excluding every single notable Canadian player from this is really really bad (Canadian WCS)
