Its 1gate expand into 4gate pressure...... come on its not rocket science. Its been a build forever, mostly PvT though. DRG just didnt scout it and then responded incorrectly (trying to take 3hatch like it was FFE). Ts die when going 3CC against that too.

it's not that hard a build to stop for zerg really. The key is that since P doesn't have an early forge lings are really good against this push. The key to stop it is early ling speed and then you can hold a third just fine. You hold it pretty much the same way as you stop a 1 base 4 gate while on 2 base, instead it's a 2 base 4 gate while z is on 3 base (which is better for Z).
DRG seemed to know this but I think he canceled the third thinking it was a 1 base 4 gate and then remade after he realized it was a gate first expand. The late gas thus speed plus the drones/money lost on the cancel lost him the game, otherwise he is fine.

Because the moment you spot a gateway, you drop the gas. DRG didn't respond properly. He even build a 3rd hatch. You don't go for a quick hatch if you spot a gateway.

I do consider it impressive and possibly an important step for him to start relying on some build shenanigans and getting rewarded for it. Seems like most of the currently best players have a knack for knowing when to pull a goofy build out of their hat. Well played in game 1 by Naniwa.
