Every time there is a reason for positive emotions, regardless of the player, regardless of the tournament, regardless of the race (both irl and ingame), there will be people who will try to downplay the player's success and find negative things to say. Every single time. It's absolutely disgusting! In any real sport people will celebrate after a victory. Why should it be different on sc2? The comment you are referring to was worst than getting cannon rushed on ladder.
lol if it was a korean player that smiled nobody would make such a comment. The bias nature from some of the fans is overwhelming at times.

Why does Destiny insist on mispronouncing YongHwa? It's especially in poor taste because, you know, Yong Hwa is his actual name. Is it so hard to say correctly? Is it too much to ask Destiny to engage in a culture other than his own in a respectful manner? Maybe recognize a little difference between people in his otherwise insular, little, white world?

I like Nerchio man, nothing against him. I just said that this smile was so much like him making fun of his opponent. Trolling and provocation is really normal, but you have to do it in a certain way, in front of your opponent and not like this, smiling alone as if you were making fun of your opponent. Now maybe I'm thinking too much, but I know asian people (I'm not but I've lived in Japan for 8 years) actually really really care about that. You can make fun, troll and provoke your opponent, but there is a way to do it. Showing respect is the most important thing. So now it's ok, it's HSC, everyone is having fun and Nerchio certainly did do that on purpose, but still I have the right to give my opinion and say I didn't really liked his smile at that moment. This is getting stupid. He smiled, what else do you expect someone to do when they win? They are so many ways to be happy with your win and show respect imo. I think you're the one getting stupid trying to make something big about me saying I was not really fond of this way to smile on his seat. Just a small remark. If he once come to the country I live in, I wouldn't recommend him doing this, even if it's really not a big matter. Just a small remark man, relax.
I will have to remember this. When I win against somebody that has legendary status the biggest slap in the face would be to just smile........not flip them off or tell them they suck.....its the ever so insulting smile. Idra take notes, no more cursing, insulting, no gging. Just smile bro just smile

Haha, whilst I agree with you, I think you'd be far better off laughing off those comments than raging, that one in particular was so pathetic it was almost hilarious.

I mean.. dude... it's a smile... Alright but you got my explanation right ? Just a small remark man, just a small remark. What about letting me think this and express myself a little bit. There is nothing that huge in what I said I mean. So from what i can gather, in asia that is an insulting gesture after a win. How would you judge MC coming out of his booth in a murloc shirt jumping around in euphoria after a win? Respecting his opponent? Just curious This is the mistery of culture differences man. Actually when trolling is done in a very visible way, it's not BM. But when it is done in a much more discreet subtile way it is actually more. For instance subtile sarcasms (especially irony) are really not well appreciated in Japan. I'm not sure about Korea. So now I reacted as being used to the japanese way, but again I really didn't want to say it did matter a lot. It was just a small remark about what I felt at this moment. Now as some mentionned, it is in Europe and this is true that the european way should be the right one. But still I don't get why just giving my opinion on this is such a big problem for you guys. You should cool down a little bit.

Back in the bw days, they were randomly inserted in TL polls and would never lose.
