He's worse than almost every player on ST and FXO lol..

I don't want to get into it really, but he's the only player in the studio left in code s. Like, the only one. I can understand if you think some players on either team are better than him, but I really can't figure how you call him worse than almost everyone else there

you know he was given a welfare seed right?

This season he is there because he made Ro8 last season.

People said the same shit about Huk, completely ignoring the fact that even qualifying for Code A is a phenomenal feat that no foreigner has ever accomplished.

Give any player on these teams a welfare seed and they could perform in Code S. I know this will give me hell, but look at Naniwa's groups the last 2 seasons man... pvps and pvts vs the worst terrans in Code S..

Mvp made him look silly and DRG will do the same thing. He'll eventually be knocked to Code B like Huk and be stuck there indefinitely until Gom gives him another handout.

I don't hate the guy, just annoying that people don't realize dozens of people in Code B are better than Naniwa.

Handout?? Are you kidding me? Gom gives out seed to players who win/do well in foreign tournaments. Naniwa got 2nd at MLG Providence. He got second at the most stacked SC2 tournament to date. That's way harder than going through the Code A qualifiers. Calling it a handout is a joke.

Way harder than getting through Code A qualifiers? I disagree. Amazing players like Bomber and DRG were stuck in Code B for AGES because Code A qualifiers are so hard.

didn't koreans call MLG the easier way to qualify for Code S? lol

Naniwa was seeded into a position where he only had to win 3-4 games to make the finals, which is not even close to "way harder" than Code A qualifiers. Not taking anything away from him, but comparing his Providence run to anything in GSL is just silly.

So is questioning his seed, though, considering he's made ro8 twice in a row now.

Lol what?

Have ever took a look at the Code B brackets? There isnt any super groups ever. The people who qualify from Code B to code A, usually lose to code A players because the former code B players are usually are worse. The code A players usually dont make it into code S, because code A players are usually worse.

The reason why it is possible not to win code B every time, but still be competive in code S is because sc2 is so volatile. And you can lose to worse players.
But on average code S players are much much stronger than code A players. On average code A players are much much stronger than code B players. Making into Ro8 in code S is much much greater achievement than qualifying to code A trough code B.

STQ vs FXO

Set 4

Set 5

Z1 Curious <Whirlwind> Z7 Leenock

Both players hatch first.

Leenock goes gas pool, curious goes pool gas.

4:00 both relatively identical, with ling speed, but leenock gets a spire and baneling nest faster.

OKAY FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE I SEE WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT

Sure though Naniwa got to Code S Ro8 twice but he never won a game in Code A..
So its kinda hard to say actually.

But i would say Naniwa PvT and PvP is Code S level but his PvZ is just straight up terrible.
Play your best

Calling it a handout is a joke.

lol don't forget that Naniwa was seeded extremely far into the bracket at mlg providence. He only had to play a couple matches to reach the finals. While Leenock had to play TONS and TONS of matches to reach the finals. And the only reason why Naniwa got seeded so far into the bracket was b/c he won that MLG when there were no koreans.

You don't have to.

Leenock has some of the best ling/bane micro in the game. I remember him doing it vs nestea and it was just sick to watch.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

STQ vs FXO

Set 4

Set 5

Z1 Curious <Whirlwind> Z7 Leenock

Both players hatch first.

Leenock goes gas pool, curious goes pool gas.

4:00 both relatively identical, with ling speed, but leenock gets a spire and baneling nest faster.

5:00 Curious adds his baneling nest later, but it will finish in time. Leenock, however, makes 24 lings instead of the 11 workers Curious is making.

6:00 Both morph banelings, but Leenock is playing more aggressively. 2 of curious' banes detonate uselessly, 2 of leenock's hit drones! Leenock sends in only banelings to do damage lol.

7:00 leenock just drones back up, and so does curious. Curious does not lose a whole lot, and the game stabilizes. However, leenock sends in more banelings and kills more workers. he's up 37 to 21 supply.

8:00 Curious has a faster lair and roach warren, leenock gets +1 armor while curious has +1 range on the way
OKAY FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE I SEE WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT

He's worse than almost every player on ST and FXO lol..

I don't want to get into it really, but he's the only player in the studio left in code s. Like, the only one. I can understand if you think some players on either team are better than him, but I really can't figure how you call him worse than almost everyone else there

you know he was given a welfare seed right?

This season he is there because he made Ro8 last season.

Way harder than getting through Code A qualifiers? I disagree. Amazing players like Bomber and DRG were stuck in Code B for AGES because Code A qualifiers are so hard.

didn't koreans call MLG the easier way to qualify for Code S? lol

They did. Monster was recently quoted as saying foreigner tournaments are 100x harder than Korean ones.

You have that backwards =p
