Oh man, can't wait for this I've seen in google trends that Starcraft is pretty big in Singapore, wonder how good their scene is.
Sick, I have no idea how high the level of play here in Singapore is, so I'll definitely be attending this.
Definitely will be attending! Wanna see how good the sg players are!!

$4,000 to the winner for such a tiny country?! At the end of this tournament somebody we've never heard of is going to have more prize money than the likes of Yonghwa, Maru, fOrGG, illusion, beastyqt, Revival, and Kawaiirice just to name a few (assuming SC2earnings.com is accurate). Apologies if there is a famous progamer from SG that I am overlooking.

Singapore (the country of my birth), is actually a city nation with a population of like 5-6 million I think (around 3 million are Singapore citizens; most of the rest are foreign workers/professionals, I believe). So, numbers wise at least, I think the chance is fairly low to see a bunch of world-class contenders, but you never know
I forgot that Zemotion, Infinity Seven's team owner, is from Singapore. But I don't know if iS has any Singaporean players (I don't think so?)
nice,I wanna see more countries join this tournament.
I'm actually pretty excited to see the SEA scene given two reasons: 1. we don't get to see them play much against the rest of the world and 2. large, large part of the world, but little display of their ability sadly ):
This is when I wish I didn't move out from Singapore lol =P
hell yeah i'll be there :D

Another reason is that the SEA region is dominated by moba players, so much that I'm so annoyed when I heard bunch of kids talking about dota/HoN, despite myself playing it since I was 12....

This is one of the biggest tournament in Singapore Esports history. The rts scene here is really small compared to the dota scene

Singapore has a really strong zerg player in Marcus 'Revenant' Tan Sin Yik. He has been refining his skills over in Korea at the Fnatic team house (Still in Korea at the moment) and has also won prize money in excess of 4000 dollars.
Awesome! I think I'll be trying my hand at this, but I'd really want to go to get to know other gamers anyway!
I expect my hero and constant inspiration Revenant to take this.
Revenant will probably take it.

Awesome to see Singapore get such a nice prize pool. I try to think in terms of, "good for them", rather than "poor NL only $800 for first". I think it's important to inject prize money in different countries, even if the players aren't necessarily as known! Wish I could go here to spectate omg (love SG)

Hi all. apologies for the minor delay on the update regarding registrations and such. we will post the link latest by tomorrow as we are sorting out some web server issues.
Please check back in this thread or at at sc2sea.com by 1500 hrs (GMT+8) latest, as we post more information including registration links and such.

Hi all.
Please take note of the registration procedures as I have seen more signups but lesser emails than expected.
It is required that on both ends to be confirmed before I can finalise the registration for you.

I don't know why people are surprised at the prize pool for Singapore. Esports is pretty popular there and it's a rich city-state.

Maybe get your head out of starcraft-centric TL and take a look at the moba scene? They did hold the WCG 2005 Grand Finals, before most people even heard of pro gaming in western countries.
