He was not very obviously behind. He had a 4th CC, Nestea had no infestor energy, and supply was even. Taeja was also ahead on upgrades, and iirc Nestea had just started his hive.

Just because Nestea is attacking doesn't make him so much farther ahead. Catching all those units with a fungal near his base didn't put him as ahead as it could have because he didn't drone too hard in the early game.
Edit: Infestors were safe, just out of energy. Which means Nestea couldn't do more damage.
Terran was behind.. Taeja was ahead on upgrades, but utterly destroying an army and saving a bunch of infestors is quite good when you have an expo extra, are zerg, and got a huge bank.
He also have the production and almost unharassed 3 base terran. He would've been fine.
Also 10 medivacs just reached, it would just get worse and worse for nestea

What happened was that idra thought he lost all his drones to a drop at his natural but they were all in the right gas. He thought he lost them all so he gg'd.
Why do people think Nestea had the game won? Not even close. It's true Taeja's pure bio agression failed to do much damage probably because he didn't expect Nestea to go so ground-army heavy on a map so large. This allowed Nestea to push back Taeja to his 3rd, where Taeja actually ends up defending right before the game crashes. At this point, Taeja was just about to take his 4th whereas Nestea just started mining from his 4th so the economy was around the same, which always favours terran. Not to mention Nestea's delayed hive tech since he went so heavy on the lair units. At worst, the game was even.
Not that it matters. Blizzard should really consider implement LAN mode.

Idra left while winning a fight after MMA targetted his own CC.
yeah MMA was still going to win that game, it just didn't look like it at the time. Should go see the replay, Idra had 1 queen, 2 larva with no injects on the way and almost nothing building which is why he left(hell i freaked out at the time too but went to review it). All MMA lost was 400 minerals
