Like every team in a double elimination bracket, IM has the right to lose a Bo5 once. So if Liquid wins the first Bo5, another one will be played. If IM wins the first Bo5, it's over.
So not 2 Bo5's regardless of outcome.

Am I misunderstanding this? You are. If Liquid wins they have to win an other bo9, because they are comming from the loosers bracket. If IM wins it's over. Oh really? That is madness.

I dunno But then again, if the objective was to force out TaeJa early, he succeded... Trouble is that you need to also kill him, not just lure him out
Listen, IM got to the finals with a score of 20-4 without playing Mvp or Nestea once, It's not because of bad lineup picks that TL is ahead.

Wow Taeja's massive win percentage must be like the biggest coincidence of all time. He always seems to play shit according to half the people here, yet he still keeps winning. Maybe koreans can only beat good players, and when they come up against someone as awful as Taeja, they just don't know what to do.

Because IM came from WB finals and TL came from LB finals. So if IM loses its like they're now knocked into losers bracket and its just a fair last Bo9 to settle it.
So if IM loses first Bo9 its like getting knocked into losers bracket and meeting the winner of the losers bracket (TL) But if IM wins TL is knocked out because they're still technically "in the losers bracket".

Just tuned in, so not sure, but liquipedia says 3-1 for TL
btw did TL get any disadvantage coming from the losers bracket ?
edit : nvm my question, someone posted the answer above me

Fewer results than the Koreans EG has picked up, which I feel clouds mambars judgement Pretty sure pre-Liquid TaeJa had way more results than pre-EG JYP/pre-EG PuMa

Nah, Taeja had way more results. Anyone who knew anything about talent evaluation knew he was going to be a top terran in the future.

He looks like MKP earlier this year.

Come on, it has "Proleague" in the name. Commercials are to be expected

On August 12 2012 04:26 Province wrote: Can someone explain to me why 2 Bo9's are being played, regardless of outcome? Am I misunderstanding this? The second bo9 is only when TL wins the first bo9. If IM wins the first one it's done. And it's being done to give the team from the winners bracket an advantage over the team that has lost once already.

better
Taeja actually beats Losira xD

How do people not understand this...
2 BO9's because each team is allowed to lose 1 game!
Liquid lost vs Slayers and was sent to the lower bracket.
IM has not lost a series.
So, if IM were to lose this series, there will be another series played so things are fair....no one has an advantage based on format.
