Shut down as in no one would have watched that one-sided stomping? I'm glad we have an interesting final.

SC2 is 10 times easier to watch.

A lot of that is attributed to casters imo, we've got some of the best

Bullshit. 2GD is actually a very good caster of Quake.

I've heard my fair share about Tobi and this is the first live cast I've seen of him. I must say he's fucking brilliant.

He doesn't mis-speak. He's fast and it sounds like he knows his shit about the game.

Nah he doesn't know that much tbh. But he mostly casts together with progamers so it doesn't matter

so true . Only reason I am going to watch is to study dimaga's ling/bane style.

I don't understand how hardcore SC fans can bash dota.

I played dota for 6-7 years, and starcraft for 2-3 years.

Starcraft has way too many factors of luck, and sometimes you can lose a game PURELY based on luck because you scouted an all-in last, or you went for a macro build and someone decided to all in you. One miscontrol in SC2 can cause you to lose the game.

In dota, there isn't really a lot of luck. Winning has to do with teamwork and decision making, except the decision making is much harder because there are 4 others around you.

Even Pro starcraft players have said SC has too much of a luck factor, I don't see how the fans can't recognize that.

Ok I sort of agree with the other 2, but those ones...what....

Chen's nuke is pretty random

Aww cmon, that's not anywhere near as important as the rest of his abilities in most cases.

Fine, but we all have to agree that Faceless Void has the most annoying RNG passive in the game...

any objective evidence to support that?

Common sense.

um... no

You think the game with 10 different players playing at once with tons of CPU controlled characters and where each character each has their own items is easier to watch than SC2? The casters screaming 80% of the game doesn't make it any easier to follow. I'm not saying Dota sucks or anything, just that SC2 is obviously easier to watch.

So they SC2 Fans shit on DOTA2 Fans, who then shit on LoL fans.

Who do the LoL fans shit on?

Quake live.

no one shits on quake live, quake live is an insanely tough and competitive game, second most skilled esport behind BW

^ This. Seriously though, watching QL first person blows my mind, anyone who says otherwise is just...

but people who just watch first person wont understand all the shit that is going on, the rune control and movements are SO hard to do, yet these guys perfect it.

Most people understand quake live pretty fast..... at least I did. Dota/LoL/HoN type games need someone to play it to get it. If you dont play them u wont get it.

Jungle spawns are random. You can never depend on a Centaur at 0:30, you might get all Mud Golems and be completely fucked over early on.

what are you talking about? you can take a furbolg or a troll if you don't have a centaur

I think you get the point I was trying to make.

I could go on and on about Rotti, ToD in WC3 and so forth.

The thing is there are many great casters out there for each game. If you bring the passion and know your shit. You can do well.

That is about to change though. Just bought a beta key
