The point of the tournament has nothing to do with individual performance, BlinG and DeMusliM performances were terrible because as a progamer you owed to yourself to do better than those who aren't sponsored. Demuslim/Bling is a better combo than Tod/Adelscott that's for sure.

The funny thing is, European WCS finals will be completely irrelevant in proving which Country is stronger. For one, due to amount of seeds handed out, Ukraine will only have 2. And France might win it all with Stephano, or a Brit might do it, or Grubby and Ret may end up taking top 4. At that point, it pits individuals of an already high calibre against each other.
Instead, if you were to play a huge tournament with all the players that made it past their respective country specific qualifiers, then you might see Sweden come out top with higher finishes overall, or Germany stake a claim, etc.

Sweden is above all other EU contries by a pretty large margin at this point. What's scary is the gigantic amount of amazing players they have considering they have a really tiny population compared to the other decent countries.

Yeah but IF for example both ukrainian players fail to qualify for world finals while 3/4 germans make it.... it's not about numbers in itself but more about tendencys.

Russia right now is most likely on par with Germany. I don't want to fall into stupid arguements as this is one of them in general. In my opinion, Ukraine are the leaders right now followed by Sweden not so far behind. Germany and Russia are definately close to the top but just a bit lacking.

Of course you can argue about what is more important but let's just watch european WCS finals.

to all the people bashing me in the post for playing bad, you're right i did play bad I played alot better in the games that were not casted, but it was difficult for me to be sitting right next to artosis, have a crowd of people cheering over my my monitor, and a camera broadcasting my face and reactions to a stream, in a moment where I was about to get my first win on stream against a player I expected to lose to. But have faith in me I feel once i can get more comfortable playing in those kind of environments you guys will be more impressed with my play, but until then take it easy on me plz )))))) i'll be around in many more future events im sure and will improve, and sorry to anyone that felt dissapointed!
oooh and edit: to clear up the whole muta thing.. I sent my muta's back to my mining base to defend, since my plan at the time was just to defend my mining base with muta until he was forced to move out of his base in which case i would clean up all the buildings, but as i sent them home i tried to build zerglings from a hotkey'd hatch that had died, and the S command stopped all my muta without me realising big mistake from me to not notice and a bigger mistake not to build spines but wont happen again!
