We all know the UK scene sucks but given this time last year we had one known player with a broken arm who couldn't play (Demuslim) and now we have two well established pro's (Demuslim and Bling) plus two very promising up and comers in Ziktomini who's looked great at this event and beat Bly and Stephano at Dreamhack and JonnyRecco who's got a 61% win rate on TLPD and so far taken series from Daisy and Phoenix.

So yeah we're kind of crappy, we know that, but we're certainly hugely improved from where we were a year ago and if JonnyRecco and Ziktomini can find themselves a well established team who'll send them to the UK tournaments hopefully they show the same improvement Bling did (and then don't blow it all being an esports celebrity instead of practicing).

In terms of nations I'd say we've pushed ourselves ahead of most countries in Europe except the big hitters of Sweden, France, Germany, Ukraine and Poland. We're probably better than Spain, Italy and Norway and fast closing the gap on Russia.

I dunno, he ate so many storms, the vikings made up most of his large supply lead at the end of the battle.

If he had pulled back, he would have been fine.

True.

Well kinda standard TvP. You really need a very convincing battle win before you can attack toward protosses base cause off instant 40 supply chargelots.

DeMuslim made two major mistakes that cost him the game.

1. Landed his vikings to lose all of them where he instead could have saved them.
2. Moved out on the map and his army were divided. He basically threw away 40-50 army supply.

This.

I heard something about Recco and Dignitas but I'm not sure how true that is. Given how young he is I definitely think the future is looking good for UK Starcraft.

Another mistake was losing the outer group when running back to the nat instead of sniping the unprotected colossus that were trailing the chargelot force.

Odee said last year he will do another dignitas gamer search so maybe he could qualify/win that like Bling did last year.

Amateurs have been taking games off pros so far this event, wouldn't that make it more interesting? If you mean that pros should be 1 sided-ly rofl-stomping the casuals, probably true but it makes for worse games

Everyone has an off day, I wouldn't read too much into it except Demuslim made a big mistake.
