A bootcamp is basically where a bunch of players get together and just practice at a LAN center a few days before the event, maybe have some sort of mini tournament or something. I think maybe boot camping would be more appropriate for something like an MLG, as we would basically be practicing against people we only play against, where as in a larger scale event, we wouldn't be.

Ah I see. I'd be down for something like that, although only one lan center down here (flippers). It's $5 for all day which isn't a bad deal but sometimes can be so loud you can't hear yourself think.

Not sure. This flippers is in the plantation/hollywood area. It's basically a movie theatre with a lan center inside of it for some reason.

I know about 5 or 6 people not including myself who would definitely be interested in this. Only problem is that mid august would probably be cutting it really close for when a few of us leave for college, so early august would probably work out better if that was possible.
This is happening in the James center, that's a huge upgrade from when the first CBT Lan bash happened. I'm glad you guys are growing. Gogogo FL Scene :D

I am pretty sure the event is Bi-annual, and it is by far the biggest and best LAN in South Florida. They really want to keep growing it so anyone in the area come check it out!

ShoCkeyy, we have A LOT of prizes for the winners! Apart from the tournament pot, we have prizes packages from GammaLabs, Corsair, TigerDirect AND we will be giving winner skins provided by RIOT. Check out the video!!!
I was looking at the tournament rules and I had a few questions/concerns.
1. Most Tournaments nowadays are Group play into single elim or double elimination. I assume there will be plenty of computers, so is it possible to do one of those things? (It allows people to play a certain amount of games instead of just being 0-2'd and beind done by 9:15)
2. The map pool is quite a bit out dated, with maps like meta, shattered temple, dual sight and xel naga. Might I suggest swapping these with Ohana, Cloud Kingdom, Daybreak and Entombed Valley?
Hi, NoMicroWin Sorry for they delay, by popular demand the maps will be updated the day of the event, reflecting the most current maps available. In terms of how the match is played we cannot alter this late in the game, but will definitely keep that in mind for Winter Series LANBASH!
Great to hear the map pool will be updated, always nice to see a tournament listen to input from the players. Should be a lot of fun, the Florida e-sports scene has been pretty stagnant lately, hopefully this will help pick it up!
