TT1 has been performing very well, hopefully he can continue his good results and get to the finals in his home country.
|
Puma, TT1, Stephano, Zenio. All going to be a bit one-sided I think.

PuMa 2-0 NightEnD HayprO 2-1 TT1 Stephano 2-0 HwangSin Zenio 2-1 BRAT_OK
I can't believe all of the people saying that TT1 will 2-0 haypro! Also the people thinking that HwangSin will take a game off of stephano. Stephano is the Protoss killer, no way will he drop a map to HwangSin!
|
Looks to me like the most toss up game would be TT1 vs Haypro, could go either way, super excited for that one. Puma, Stephano, and Zenio games will probably be one-sided.
|
HwangSin's best match-up is PvZ. Stephano dropped a game to elfi. He's not some untouchable behemoth in the match-up.
|
TT1 has been killing it in NASL and Haypro has been doing absolutely awful. Either he can't deal with cross server play or he's actually in another "slump" as Liquid fans would say.

Yeah, I feel it's going to be pretty onesided except for NightEnd vs Puma and Zenio vs BratOK.
Puma 2-1 NightEnd TT1 2-0 HayprO Stephano 2-0 HwangSin Zenio 2-1 BratOK (This could go either way I feel but I like Zenio so I vote for him :D)

If HwangSin wins, I'm gonna punch myself in the nuts, videotape it, and share it with you.

Yeah, I'm feeling walkover is gonna make it waaay more likely considering Stephano's walkover record. (I kid, I kid)

Do I really need to write a prediction for this one? Really? Not to sound pessimistic or unfaithful to the foreigner creed, but FXO has fallen short against the weakest of teams. I'll eat my brand new TL shirt if they manage to beat IM. 4-1 IM. On topic, Stephano lost to Inori because of some good all ins. Hwangsin is really good at all ins . . .

NASL uses cloaked maps. You won't know the results beforehand unless they mess up.
|
Yes, NASL uses cloaked maps. It will say "Left" for both players. Nobody actually "wins" the map.
I remember last season MoMaN vs DIMAGA, there was a base race and Moman destroyed Dimaga's last extractor, and the game kept going on. They were both extremely confused but the casters/observers told them that the map doesn't have any win conditions, therefore Dimaga did not "lose" and Moman did not "win" when he would've on a regular map. (Of course NASL gave him the point, since he did actually win)
|
Nightend will win 2-1. Calling it out now.

Except we don't know if he lost or not. I do have manly pride, but if I hurt my testicles, it could be the other way around. Please do your research before saying Estonia=Russia or Eastern Europe. Our language and culture have Scandinavic rather than Romanic roots, people seem to be forgetting this just because we were occupied by them for the longest time. And economy is closer to Fin/Swe than Ru/Ukr. And we have better internet than you guys in the US : D. It's almost as offending as telling a Korean that they're all basically Chinese, or a Canadian that US and Canada are all the same.
Go ahead and enjoy your 15 trillion USD debt while you can. I'm living just as well (was in USA for a year) without having to worry about the future.

gretorp, I am still mad that your week 5 top 10 didn't include qxc vs morrow. what were you thinking?

Ok, I thought MC vs Sheth was some weird misheard announcment last week, but it was an early announcment for the week after.
Cool.
|
MC vs Sheth seems like it will be a bit one-sided. Hoping Sheth can show good games though.

The Stephano - Cloud VODs are still not uploaded. What's up with that? Have they been lost in the ether? It's more than 3 weeks now.

Nice, that medivac drop covers his army's retreat very nicely.

It's shocking that Bratok is doing as bad as he is in this league. He's definitely one of the best Terrans in Europe.
|
bratok played this one like a champ
|
Anyone know when Hwangsin and Stephano will be playing?
One of things I really dislike about the NASL is they seemingly do the matches in whatever order suits them, it never goes the way it is listed in the OP, and I hate having ot keep checking for the match I want to see.

At the beginning, they said it would be the 3rd match-up.

I haven't watch much of the non-BitterDam NASL stuff this year, but frotorp is killing it! Good to see.
And I don't know where the BratOK that played game one came from. That was sick.

Why didn't he wait for Stim.... Would have changed everything.

Anti-timing, stim finished as his last units fell

Can someone explain the wildcards to me? And how do they relate to season performance? Like, does a person who doesn't automatically qualify (for finals or playoffs) but has a better record than another non-qualified guy have an advantage in wildcards? Or are all eliminated people treated equally regardless of record?
|
BANJOBANJOBANJOBANJOBANJO!!!!!!!
I am soooooo stoked!
Why didn't he wait for Stim.... Would have changed everything.
I think the point was to push the third as soon as stim and combat shield were finished, so he was timing it to be done by the time he reached Zenio's base. I hate when that happens.

Wow Haypro was floating so many resources...
|
TT1! Really looking good in the NASL!
|
That was terrible by Haypro, what was he even doing...he didn't build a single spire unit and just got totally rolled over without doing anything..

he had 1800 gas floated >.<

I'd say it's just HayprO having stupid composition.

That definitely was not very well played by Haypro that game, but TT1 has really exceeded many expectations this NASL season as a whole. I would have never expected him to be top 2 in his division.
|
TT1 is doing great, but its not like he did anything special there... he basically 1a'd and dropped a bunch of forcefields outside Haypro's natural. Haypro was at like 120 supply with nothing producing and 2k/2k... why would you even go drop on Antiga?
|

I feel like the plan was mass Roach drops... but then he saw TT1's army and scrambled to get something to counter it, but ended up building nothing and dying.

Yeah I don't know.. seemed really poorly thought out.

After last game's block you'd have thought Haypro would build more than 2 lings

What the hell? 4 sentries man!
|
Anyone know how the post season works for NASL S3?
45 players in five divisions of 9
+10 | The top two finishers in each division seeded into the grand finals. | Advance to next season +20 | For the remaining players, the top 20 league-wide advance in to the playoffs | Advance to next season +? | Advance to the next season - ? | Eliminated from NASL
Is tiebreaker still same as past two season ? http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/North_American_Star_League_Season_2#Tie-Breaking

Holy crap, after that baneling bust I turned away to watch the hockey game, came back to see TT1 crushing face. Wtf?

Man, that wasn't fun to watch. Taking a huge advantage and then not pressuring/trading armies at all.
|
Jesus, embarassing games from Haypro. I think he, amongst other old school SC2 players (Jinro, IdrA, Nony, to name a few) is definetly past his prime. Those 2nd game should be unwinable for Toss.
|
On May 24 2012 11:33 Dexington wrote: Holy crap, after that baneling bust I turned away to watch the hockey game, came back to see TT1 crushing face. Wtf?
Haypro decided to run his massive amount of zerglings around uselessly instead of just clicking on the Nexus and winning the game.. even then he was massively ahead, like 80 drones to 40.. I don't think this guy is destined to win much if he's been playing professionally all this time and this is what he regularly shows us.. I bet he's a great guy and I want to like him because he's Zerg, but all he does is disappoint me constantly every time I watch him..
/end Haypro rant
|
As much as I like to support the notion that toss op, TT1 did outplay him... look at how efficiently he macroed
|
Stephano is 3-2 not 2-2! FFS. It's like the win over Cloud never happened for NASL.
|
This might be a bad time to bring this up again but... Does anybody still remember all the hype that surrounded HayprO when he beat Nestea and took MVP too a game 3 in MLG Providence? Back then, over the next few weeks after MLG Prov, everybody was saying Haypro would become one of the top foreigners and predicting that he would soon win a major title. Oh how times have changed...
|

I think Haypro needs to learn how to take an in-game advantage and use it to kill his opponent, rather allow for a comeback. The same thing happened with MVP at MLG Providence. He killed MVP's mech deathball, but rather than go and kill MVP/deal game-ending damage, he droned to over 100 workers, and MVP's second deathpush killed him. Of course, I feel bad for singling Haypro out, because many players make this mistake, but it seems mostly foreigners that blow leads like that. It's quite frustrating really, especially since I believe that Haypro does have potential to be much better. Hopefully the Korean training can give him that important "kill instinct".
|
Haypro on Ohana, why didn't he saturate his first 4th's gases, like he had forever to but he kept it like at 4 drones for the longest time, Wierd hayper wierrrrd. But I guess he played relatively well, just wanted to see him succeed.
|
I guess the OP hasn't been updated yet, but PuMa vs. NightEnD won't be played today. Fnatic contacted PuMa to let him know that NightEnD is sick and can't play.

a two base timing attack by hwangsin?... no way... :p
|
Hwangsin looked scary at times, but Stephano's play was so good. The Napoleon of Starcraft

Even if his opponent are making a counter build for Stephano it doesnt matter becuase his army control and position are allways so amasing.

all the little things...
Draws the zealots away from the ramp then goes for drone surround on sentries to force him to lift. Sets up concaves, engages, backs up at the right times. I think they changed the format for the other 6 though.
