Every Korean and Demuslim, with only HasuObs standing a chance for an "upset", imo. Actually not much of an upset, that match could go either way.

HerO, Ryung, Hasu? And Demuslim though normally I'd vote against him since it's TvP, but I'll give him the credit since its NASL.

HerO 2-0 DarkForce
Dimaga 1-2 Ryung
HasuObs 2-1 CrazyMovinG
Tyler 1-2 DeMusliM

another win for herO ... No One in this group can stop him now

The only people in this group who could have maybe beaten Hero were Dimaga and HasuObs. Dimaga did take a game off because of his super turtle ZvP and I say Hasu because anything can happen in mirror match ups. That match is in week 9 and obviously Hero is the clear favourite, but Hasu is good enough to steal one.
Hero got lucky that the other Koreans in his group aren't to his level and Ryung's TvP is awful. No doubt he would be the favourite in any group though, but his competition in this group isn't very scary.
|
Dimaga got a walkover probably because Ryung was on a flight

Only 2 games today?
Why was Demu vs. Nony postponed?

here is where nasl slams into mlg :S

Only Hero's game today. Dimaga and Hasu got walkovers.
Nony is moving

Wow, seriously how much time do you guys need to fill in? lol.

YEAH DIMAGA 2-0'D RYUNG WHAT A BOSS!

Nony vs Demuslim postponed? Nooooooo.

Wow...only one match today, I wonder what happened with all of the players.

so disappointing

i am having dejavu about this hero vs dimaga match...
there was a very similar situation on the same map with hero in the nasl a few weeks ago...
edit: just realized that it was a rebroadcast

I feel really bad for NASL. Maybe next time this happens, to fill time, you guys can do some community games. Where Bitterdam/Gretorp play 2v2 with the community, and I bet it wouldn't be hard to find a Pro that is streaming around the same time to play with you guys (maybe do some impromptu Q&A?)

I second this. With NASL's season of nothing but walkovers and MLG arena with their stream problems every single time I cant justify spending the money.

Besides, this is necessary. People keep saying that no one is taking the league serious enough to play the matches, but how do you build a prestigious league? You start from the bottom and work your way up. Once the title "NASL Season X winner" becomes something important, it will begin to mean more to the players and future seasons will have higher interest from players. That, and coordinating this mass of players spread out across every conceivable time zone is not an easy feat. Walkovers are unfortunate, but almost unavoidable. It's just unfortunate timing that 2 happened in one night (a delay and a walkover).

Well apart from sense of humor, there's nothing on that first post to make it seem like Dimaga beat Ryung 2-0 anyhow.

why does NASL insist the games must be played live? It really doesn't add anything to the viewers experience, and causes countless problems such as matches being shown out of order compared to the post (minor but still inconvenient), walkovers and long pauses mid-game.
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we care more about getting the matches actually played, all of them, on time, and in order, with minimal delay, than anything that live games give us.

I love this season of NASL, the production quality is higher, the casting is better, the players are better. All around its been a really good season. Stop shitting on NASL, stuff happens.
The live games are better...anyone who thinks otherwise is dumb >.>

But back to the NASL. They are doing a great job with the 150$ reward for each match and the inclusion of Bitterdam. But I do recommend that they fill time somehow when this many walkover occur. Maybe have some segments in reserve. IDK.

Anyhow, I meant that it was obvious that Dimaga got the walkover. I did not mean that my joke was obviously a joke, as a joke is never really obvious over the internet.

We do not insist on games being played live. As you know, we do try to have live games as much as possible, but we do also do replays for reschedules and for European players.
The issue is that if players do not give us enough advance notice, it is not possible to reschedule their matches. For example, if someone tells us 5 hours before their match that they can't play, and it happens to be 2 am for their opponent, we won't be able to get ahold of their opponent in time. We require at LEAST a week's notice to find a time that works for everybody.
Players that let us know in a timely manner have always been accomodated, and we encourage all players to do this.

We only postpone games in cases of personal emergencies, where a player would not be able to know about it in advance.
If a player gives us a few days notice, we do our best to reschedule it. But it simply isn't enough time in a lot of cases.

ideally NASL should be able to fine players (teams of the players) who don't turn up or don't give them enough notice etc, but sc2 is too small for that atm

Or maybe discount that from the $150 per match. So just pay them once a month after deducting all the losses / postponed matches.

Yeah...you'd think that NASL could have at least come up with something to make their show last longer than an hour.

Except of course they do exactly that. .

Wow looks like the new LIVE format has in fact BACKFIRED!
Edit: Players need to be more responsible when entering NASL. Don't compete in other online tournaments that eventually could conflict.

They had one forfeit related to MLG.

That's absolutely freaking fantastic. Shows the players really do care about the competition. Huk, Alicia, Ganzi, Thorzian, Select, Idra, Ret, Polt & MC all competed in their NASL games while at the MLG Arena. Ryung was the only one who didn't reschedule his match.
