ye its pretty retarded. Naniwa was vocal about his practice but no one even knows how mvp prepared for this, he clearly researched naniwa and countered him as a player not his strategies. MVP is a beast, 4th GSL win might happen :D

Don't forget that most people complaining only really pay attention to the foreign scene (which I will never understand).

Just look at some of the comments. People were saying that this is why they don't watch GSL, because koreans just cheese all the time. If they actually watched GSL, they would know that isn't the case and that the last few seasons have had some of the greatest, highest quality games of SC2 that have ever been played.

Hell, if they even watched Mvp's previous matches IN THIS TOURNAMENT they wouldn't say that. Foreign pride is emotional, not rational, so you can't really blame them for responding in an emotional and irrational manner.

Mvp aww yeah .

MVP FOR GSL.

also random reference to Inca vs Boxer

First,

Inca vs Boxer

Game 1: He's not gonna cheese game 1 right? Cheese.
Game 2: He won't cheese again. Cheese.
Game 3: He TOTALLY won't cheese again. Cheese.

Next

Mvp vs Naniwa

Game 1: He's totally gonna go macro game. Cheese.
Game 2: Finally gonna macro game, bet it. Cheese.
Game 3: Okay I think he's cheesing. Cheese.
Game 4: Oh, he'll NOT cheese this game, sure of it. Cheese.

MVP is gonna get absolutely trashed in Ro4 if he cheese like he did. And he's gonna do it. It's fucking disgusting to see what he did, since he knows that he won't go past Ro4 and that Naniwa deserved the spot way more than him.

It's funny how everyone trashed the guy who reported Destiny for racial slurs because he 1 base all-in'd him, but when it's MVP he is a total genius, the best player of the planet, and Naniwa played like a retard because he's a total noob.
I find it really funny

I'm pretty sure he cheesed cause he was fighting Nani specifically. I don't know if that's really disgraceful... in fact I'd call it intelligent.

To be fair, MVP has been all-inning, cheesing most of his TvPs since day1. And i believe he will continue to do so.
He just doesn't seem to like playing for the late game in that match-up.

Read his interview and he mentioned he did not want to overexert his wrist and he knew Naniwa risky play and he exploited it
how Leenock did at Providence.

Tell me which Terran likes to play Toss in the late game.LOL
Rather end it in the mid or early game.
It was a smart call by MVP.

I'm not saying it wasn't smart by MVP, it was (especially considering his wrists).
I'm just pointing out that MVP has always played an early-mid game style against protoss.
Even when he was super dominant and wasn't suffering from his wrist as much.

MVP went 3 macro games against Hero in the round of 16, 2 macro games against Puzzle in the round of 32. Making up random bullshit is being fair nowadays?

I never said that's all he did. That's way i said " most of his TvP's".
I just pointed out that MVP didn't go very far out of his usual way to play Naniwa.

Btw i love pretty much everything MVP does, including his TvP

Ahh, the raging Swedes, always entertaining, especially when they start saying MVP is bad, rofl. :D Good games, was sad to see Nani go out, but MVP pretty much played him.

well for me MKP was always way overrated, got some MLG arena stuff, but no real achievement like MLG Providence or IPL4, with the whole elite attending.

Best TvZ was always MMA and Best TvT aLive for months now.

TvP is debatable but after MKP losing to Squirtle and PartinG, I think guys like MVP, aLive, Polt or SuperNoVa have a good shot there.

You are wrong, then. Both of MKP's arena wins were more stacked than MLG Providence and any other past MLG, and only IPL4 was harder. Then you have his performances in GSTL and its pretty ridiculous to call him overrated.

naniwa vs mvp game 4
+ Show Spoiler +

1:50 14th probe starts, 125 minerals (must have messed up on mineral stacking)
1:54 150 minerals banked
2:04 gateway down at 15 food 10 seconds too late LOL, 100 minerals banked (not response to anything that he scouted, because there were no probes on the map)
pulls 4 probes, changes mind, sends back 2, kills 1 scv, misses opportunity to kill marine and other scv
bunker starts, P fails to pull probes in initial engagement
pulls probe for big engagement at 5min but doesn't target scv building 2nd bunker at all
forgets about one of his stalkers in the middle of the map
builds cannon 1 hex too high to target bunker
gg foreigners

Ok, there's opinion, then there's just being flat out ignorant.

Yeah, the hate on MVP has got to stop. You can voice your displeasure with his choice of strats today, but don't doubt his skills as a player. He has won and achieved so much in SC2 and Naniwa was always the underdog going into this.

and what makes 2 base attacks any less "cheesy"? naniwa planned TWO 2 base timings out, (possibly more? who knows) so what, he waited til 10 minutes to "all in". someone just beat him to the punch

Don't get the people who say that MVP didn't deserve this win. He played the game and took some risks by trying to cheese, but in the end he managed to pull out with the W. Im a huge fan of naniwa, but MVP played better today.

Idd. The thing with MVP is that he can play any style though. He expected nani to be greedy so he prepared builds to counter that. MVP won because he prepared better and Nani's risks got punished.

I was rooting for Naniwa hard though but to call MVP anything else than a great player is retarded. He's the best SC2 player ever so far.

If MVP makes the finals he wins- he has the experience and mentality (and obviously skill) to go up against all the others who will be nervous, inexperienced etc.

Other than that everyone else is a tossup for who can make the finals/win.. how funny would it be to have a TvT finals though :D

Watching VODs now.
Favorite moment:
*Artosis making crazy sounds*
Artosis "He[, OZ,] is going nexus first in PvP. Waaah"
Tasteless "That's weird. Can you do that?"
Artosis "No-o-o." *laughs*

Too... funny... can't... stop... watching.
