People are so used to poor storms that just hitting them is "storming well".
Kind of like forcefields before MC appeared and we realised how laughable everyone else's were.

err squirtle was maxed, maru was at 170
also, maru had no vikings, allowing the colossi to freefire
doesn't matter how good your spread is if you don't have a way to counter the splash
also, whoever said it was 1-0 to 3-3 is just wrong, squirtle was on two forges and was 3-2 by that last battle AFAIK

I don't know how terran is suppose to EMP the templars now that Protoss realize that a storm in mid engagement is just as good as one at the beginning and have their templars really far behind. In that last fight, Squirtle just moved up the templars 7-8 seconds AFTER the engagement started and just blanketed everything. With obs there, there is no way ghosts can get off EMPs.

How did Squirtle win that last engagement anyways? I thought Maru was up in army supply and upgrade(or at least even?), right next to a planetary fortress as well o_O, and has conclave too

The storms weren't really super, but the EMPs were awful. He landed like one on zealots when it was already over and got a total of two HTs with energy.
That didn't matter though. 4 collosi against 1 viking was how squirtle won the engament.

30 supply means nothing to late game armies. Mid-game perhaps, early game definitely.
