Taeja is good, but i feel he is overhyped now, because he joined Liquid. He need some result in big tournaments. Is eliminating two GSL champions in a row in Code S not big tournament results? No. Even GSL Champions are sometimes in slump. A lot of players have code s champions scalps under their belts.

Thorzain got the sickest TvP. That was a year ago in TSL3 Not now Nah its still really good. No one micros TvP battles like him. He actually stutters back fighting zealots while vikings kill colossus, and he has very good EMP aim. Most people stim and split, lose vikings or miss with EMPs, or any combination of them. mkp called, he wants to talk with you about this statement. You could say he's one of the best foreigner at TvP.. but really, there isn't much competition. Yeah, who's would be better? DeMuslim? Not at all, no body is comparable at TvP outside of Korea, or in general TvX to Thorzain. Kas' TvP is up there with Thorzain to be honest.
I would say LucifroN and ThorZaiN have the best foreign TvP then Kas and DeMu

Yes but he needs to win the whole thing + have a few other championships to be called the best or be ranked top tier. Right now he is still very good but not good enough to be called the very top tier of korean terrans. If he loses in the next round, what is there to differentiate him from someone like virus, who even beat Nestea and MC in previous rounds? Yet, virus is not even in most peoples top 10 list.
Going that route you're never going to discover players before they start winning big tournaments, after which their success is obvious to all. A smart observer needs to be able to see great players before they score huge wins.

As it has been stated like 500 times already, Naniwa said in an interview that he only practiced PvP and PvT for GSL and thus was very underprepared in PvZ. He did demolish Genius, though.

Polt is right below that, staying in the company of MMA, theSTC, Supernova, MVP, Jjakji, etc. Getting picked by TL doesn't bring you to this kind of status, even when you want to believe that. :< Nothing to do with being picked up by TL. Taeja is there because he's very solid in all three match-ups, which is the same for MKP. He's Rank 1 in ELO because he's beaten a shit load of top players. TaeJa is rank1 ELO because he stomped Korean Weekly, which are played by mostly Code B players. ( which are good, but code B for a reason ) Uh, no. His recent matches in the GSL: 3-2 Jjakji 2-0 DRG 2-0 Squirtle 2-0 Lucky He's never shown the match up weakness that MMA vs. Protoss and MVP vs. Protoss are, and IIRC people in Korea are saying that his TvZ is unbeatable at the moment. That leaves TvT, and he stomped Jjakji in TvT in two separate tournaments, so where does that leave him? So a few wins makes him the top Terran player in the world? People think MarineKing still has a lot to prove to get that status lol, TaeJa has everest to climb in comparison. If you're going to call Mvp's TvP bad (it's not), I'd say TaeJa's tvt was never TOP TOP TOP notch either (neither is Jjakji's, by the way). We're talking about right now, aren't we? MVP is the best Terran player in SC 2 of all time, but right now he's not Top 3. Same for MMA - until he is able to TvP his way out of a paper bag, he's not at the very top. Taeja creamed Squirtle, whose PvT creamed both MKP and MMA in MLG. He TvTs better than Jjakji. His TvZ is top tier. He's my vote for Top 2 Terran until other Terrans step it up.
You have good points, but generally when someone is considered "the best in the world" at something, they have to have a major title behind them or something like that, at least that's what most people seem to think. MarineKing for mine is easily the best terran atm, his consistency this year has been superb. I'm a taeja fan, when I watch his stream i am blown away by how good he is to watch, such talent, but I don't think he can be put up there with MKP at this stage! As an Mvp fanboy it hurts that he doesn't play as well as he used to due to injuries, but inspiring that he remains so competitive.

Ret being overhyped. No chance against Genius.

Naniwa lost to all the zergs he met because he didn't practice vs z for 30 days.

Speaking of the Blizz EU qualifier, would 5 hatch hydra work here?
(That was a nice game vs. Naniwa)

well, naniwa lost 0-2 0-2 vs the zergs, he says he didnt train PvZ at all, although he should still win against slivko and probably even nerchio imo... its not like you forget everything, right?

Here you go GSL top 8. Lol. What the heck? How did the games go? He got raped pretty much. But he said in a swedish interview he hasn't practiced against zerg in about a month so he didn't have too high expectations.
