Hey, I haven't been following all day and just tuned in now. How's the casting been?

Well, players will want to get first because they don't want to get stuck in the next stage with 2 #1 finishers.

Really terrible format. Round two and the only thing we have to discuss is which mid-level pro out of TLO, Mana and Snute will be eliminated.

Then tune in tomorrow if you want a regular 32 player tournament in a big arena with only good players all around. Tuning in today and complaining about the groups is like complaining that MLG shows Open Bracket streams when there's nothing going on. If you want to watch some StarCraft 2 games, watch. If you want to see nerds collapse in tears, watch only on Sunday.

I think I'm most interested in Naniwa/Hyun. Naniwa says he has a poor PvZ so it'll be interesting to see if he can take Hyun.

Saying you have poor pvz when you have beaten every zerg out there is kinda weird. Maybe he means that he actually has to try and play when playing pvz or smth.

Waking up to the best matches of DH Day 1, it's great to be American.

MLG has meaningful games throughout. It's not like that. Even the open bracket, by the time players have already played 3 matches (which should have happened in DH) , the games get good.

there's still zero drama in the second group stage since there's a maximum of two known players per group :/

To be fair, group C and group K each have 3 pretty well known players. Plus there's still always the chance of an upset.

Not to mention we also have genious and puma in group M and Naniwa and Hyun in group G.
It's important to remember that only the 1st advances.

WAIT WHAT?!

Is that true?

Wow that's interesting... so it goes RO 64 to RO 16?

Edit: Nevermind

Sorry dude, i made a mistake, there is another group stage.
But i do think it would be much more awesome if just the first passed and we went to the brackets.

No from ro64 to ro32 (the third groupstage) and then top ro16 (which is single elimination bracket)

No worries, I shoulda read more there before jumping to conclusions.

If they just passed first though then it'd be more based on luck of the draw which wouldn't be so good.

Hey guys just fyi the first match of each day of MLG is free and that's starting right now (HuK vs MKP and Violet vs MC). So if you want to take a break from Dreamhack that option is open for the duration of those matches.

Mind you, Elfi vs Morrow should be pretty good so it's a tough call.
