Terrans just won IPL 4, The Gathering, two MLGs and some other ones I can't remember. Little soon to be whining, no? Because that perfectly reflect state of TvP, no ? http://i.imgur.com/VCQcQh.pngTerran have a 61% winrate vs toss for the month of march, in korea.... Even international + Korea is 54% Does that reflect the state of TvP better? Win rates have always and will always be a stupid way to judge balance. One balance is really a map to map thing because each map has builds that are stronger than others on it. Secondly that poorly controlled 1 base collosus build and that awesome game 1 where he managed to hold out on 1 less base the entire game both count as 1 win and 1 loss statistically. The game isnt so broken that it usually isnt just a map that is bad for a certain race or a build is really powerful for a month or 2 which leads to a lot of players looking ridiculously good then hitting a setback as there build is figured out. Case in point remember DRGs 2 base muta into double expand build that gave him a 75-80% TvZ winrate for like 2 months then it got figured out and he dipped back down to earth. At least admit that if overall statistics give a big advantage for the terrans and if big tournaments also do, then it may be that at the very least terrans are not underpowered. Here I feel like when a terran win he always deserved it, but when it's a protoss it's like, "well there is no way terrans can win over OP protoss", even if the terrans are still doing overall better than any other races in competitions. When it's a toss who lose, most of the time it's the player who screwed, and most of the protoss supporters here don't even complain about that. But man, at the very very least, stop whining whereas terrans are still favored in stats. I remember back when the win rate for terran was about 10 points higher in TvP than it is now and people were calling TvP "the most balanced mu in all of sc2" Pre the short 1-1-1 era that was all your heard from people when they talked about balanced. TvZ hadnt settled yet ZvP was going thru dramatic swings but TvP was the balanced mu. When the win rate is worse for protoss and its considered balanced by even protoss than that shows how little the statistics matter. I don't say the stats matter that much, I say at least don't whine.

Parting, Squirtle, MC, Oz, Genius? I can dream haha.
Does anyone ever wonder what the metagame will look like in a few years time as 'the past'? I wonder whether the early GSL seasons will be looked at as "the period of the 3 kings" with Nestea, MVP and MC? i doubt anyone will call them 3 kings, but they definetly are the standout players of sc2 so far. And its FAR to early to say anything about 5 dragons etc, atm the only 1 of those players to dominate for even more than a month or two is mc what about mvp? In BW the 5 dragons were all protosses who dominated a time, Stork, Bisu, Best, Free, Kal and Janbi (there were 6 btw) wasnt reach toss?
Reach came far earlier than those though. These titles are generally shared by players that emerge and dominate around the same time period. 3 Kings (Reach was one of them) > 3 Neo Kings > 6 Dragons.

Protoss players doing good, at least in Code S ^^

Terrans just won IPL 4, The Gathering, two MLGs and some other ones I can't remember. Little soon to be whining, no? Because that perfectly reflect state of TvP, no ? The terrans who won these competitions won PvTs on the way there. Also terran is 60-40% over toss in Korea and 54-46% over toss internationally. What the hell more do you want? 70-30? 80-20? Terrans are more flexible and have better tools to win in the early-mid game. I ssue is Protosses can win in the early-mid game just as much as Terran can (just look at today for example, with that 8 gate after quick 2nd expo build). The game seems somewhat balanced in that sense, and Protosses are learning to deal with those early-mid game timings.
It's virtually impossible for Terran to win when Protosses get up to late game Colossi-chargelot- archon-templar compositions. That's just frustrating to watch as a viewer. (I mostly play Protoss) Not true at all. Terran still win a lot more in the mid game. 1-1-1 may be 'figured' out in terms of what you're supposed to do but that doesn't make it easy to defend. It's like ZvP in that respect. The fact is terran are still winning more in Korea and internationally. Start whining again when their winrates drop below 50% against protoss.
lol even appraching 50% and still majority in GSL they whine like crazy I'd like to see them <45% which protoss put up with for months and 5-6 in GSL. They'd probably go on suicide watch.

Glad Oz made it, to bad Polt dident… But Parting deserved it way more this day.

Polt losing two TvPs is incredible... even if it's Oz and Parting.
Yay for Protosses moving on!

Well that was pretty sad for Polt fans. But Parting and Oz played better today and they deserved to advance.

I am really impressed by Parting's use of psionic storm. It's really unique and awesome.

I like Tasteless, but when Tasteless and Artosis cast together (as they often do), it's pretty easy to see who's the superior analyst and who's a little bit more of a goof. Not that the latter is bad, but I think most casters pale in comparison to Artosis in game knowledge, making them look worse than they really are.

He's great, i love him, but he couldn't fill time if his life depended on it (I'm meaning the situations where there is a delay in tournaments, don't know if there was such a thing at this GSL round, started to watch VODs 5 minutes ago)
