This is not the place to talk about LoL viewership. This is also not a place to caster bash/balance whine/flame, etc. Please don't argue about how many views LoL has, or which game is better, or we will be upset. (added page 174) Also, lay off Scarlett please. (added page 227)

Exactly. MKP beat every one from GSL in a foreing tournament and in a more harsh format but because the brand was not GSL he can't be no.1.

SC2 is young, the game changes so often that the top player changes quite often these days. DRG was not overhyped, MKP is not being overhyped. Nestea was a bit overhyped due to fanboyism but overall MKP is the best player at this moment in SC2. It's not early to declare someone the best after he wins two major events and takes his team to the GSTL finals. You act like he won one event and that's it. He's been winning so much, everywhere. If he is not the clear best player in the world then you can only declare Flash to be the best because that is the only person who is more clear as the best player in the world. I disagree. Yes winning 2 events back to back is impressive don't get me wrong, but it's not like those events had a ton of code S players either. Yes he beat DRG twice in a row in a very convincing fashion, I don't think DRG was the best player in the world at any point and I do not think MKP is the best player either. He is definitely top tier, now if he wins IPL4 I will agree as that would be 3 major events in a row and this IPL is super stacked, more so then the last mlg by quiet a margin I would say. If he places finals and loses I would still think that MKP is probably the best player in the world. But right now I do not think he is and think it's to early, again winning 2 events back to back is very impressive don't get me wrong but I feel people throw around the word "best in the world" way way way to loosely.

The format matters. In GSL, you know your opponent in advance and can practice for him, plan for him, and your condition is great and you can show your best. In other tournaments, other factors than pure skill come into play. That's fine, there's nothing wrong with that, it's part of being a good player to do well in them. I just, personally, think that he should be able to win in a tournament of GSL format before we should announce him as the best like it's a fact.

Sorry but no. GSL is the premier tournament, but you have to factor in more than just that. You are absolutely right, there are people who blindly praise GSL as the mekka of SC2 and everything else just gets ignored. Sure, GSL is the hardest tournament to win, but one can't still deny the existence of other high-level tournaments with code S players fighting for a high amount of money. IF MKP keeps winning these tournaments by owning just anybody who passes his way (including code S champions), you can argue that he is the best player at the moment. MVP/nestea fanboys will ALWAYS throw in this "uhh win a GSL" argument", even in years. But answer one question please: Was Savior considered as the world's best player before he won an OSL ? (Answer is yes)
