IGN Pro League is thrilled to be able to bring you another unique StarCraft II tournament! This one is called Tournament of Champions, and is a 16-man, double elimination tournament for a $12,000 prize pool! Each team from the IPL Team Arena Challenge was asked to pick one player from their roster to represent them in this global tournament, that will span the month of March. The WINNER of the Tournament of Champions will receive a spot in our live, open qualifier at IPL4 at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Official Home of the IPL as well as an all expenses paid flight and hotel stay for the event!
The time has come for our Winners Round 3 match of the IGN Pro League Tournament of Champions!
When: Saturday, Mar 31 12:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also have a European re-broadcast as usual at Saturday, Mar 31 4:30pm GMT (GMT+00:00))
Format
This double-elimination tournament features 16 players from around the world and is an best of 5 format. This match is being played for Winners Round 3. The winning player will move on to the Winners Final, and the loser will drop into the lower bracket! Keep in mind that the top 8 spots receive prize money!

Just a quick follow-up post!
We have altered the schedule a bit since the tournament started, so we want to make sure that nobody misses any important ToC matches!
Saturday, March 31st: Losers Round 4!
Sunday, April 1st: Losers Round 5 AND Winners Final!
Monday, April 2nd: Losers Final AND Grand Final!
Tuesday, April 3rd: Fight Club! Empire.viOLet vs SK.MC! (Thread coming soon)
We will not be broadcasting anything on Wednesday or Thursday evening, because we will be prepping the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for IPL4! That event begins streaming at 10 a.m. PDT on Friday, April 6th. =)

Oh man, I should have looked. That makes me laugh.
At this point though I think that there will be a protoss in third or higher no matter what.
I'm rooting for all the non-terran players and Thorzain. So far my hopes are high.

His style is vulnerable to early aggression thats why people do it. Once you allow upgrades to past you as terran you are really behin in tha area with no wayto catch up

So what if Creator wins, but Prime goes to the GSTL finals? Everyone on his team would be going anyway, so who would get the trip? I think only seven Prime members are allowed to go, so would he be able to give it to one of the lesser known Prime teammates?

Jjakji has looked really dominant. I hope Thorzain can bring this back and do something though, I'll be sad to see him fall.

If you actually watched the games you could see that Hero did not play his best. Creator is good but Hero has really good PvP usually.

Hero has some of the best PvP around and he didn't show that in these games. As I said before, Creator is good, but him (or any player) 3-0ing Hero in PvP just shouldn't happen.

Hero's a great guy and great player, but I'm actually going to root for Life to take this tournament because he needs it more. Zenex could use some representation at IPL 4, and guys like Life rarely get opportunities to attend foreign tournaments, while Hero is going to IPL 4 anyways.

Are there any words from ipl about what happens if creator wins? startale qualified via gstl and apparently their whole team is going (7 via IPL and rest via sponsor, according to bomber). does the 2nd place get the spot then or what?
