And he certainly wasn't the first champion to do that. IIRC MC picked MVP after his GSL run where he did 95 % 4-6 gate builds.

You don't win three gsl championships and stay in code S every season (and every gsl) without being potential ro8 material... His ZvT record is pretty abysmal, his PvZ is far from what it once was and there is nobody to ZvZ against.

I feel like MC has his number and I could see him lose to Virus considering his loss to Demuslim. I hope he makes it out of his group, but I'm not optimistic of anything after that. I'm not saying what you're saying isn't a possibility. But there's also an equal possibilty he just takes off his weighted training clothes, powers up and blows away all of them with his super saiyan zerg powers.

DRG is underperforming, he his playing bad, nothing else. The bust was not efficient and then lost units left and right without any reason, the banelings in the middle, then lost tons of units with bad rally, without hold position and so on... then broods without much support killed him. Thats how i see it, if he doesnt step up, he is going 0-2.

T just plays so greedy against Zerg in the GSL now days They are kind of forced to in order to get enough vikings to deal with the BLs while maintaining a decent marine/tank force. STC played that game for the late game, his viking production was right on the mark, not too much while enough to kill all the broodlords.

If anything is obvious after the first few days of Code S this season It's that things change fast and anyone can bounce back into form or slump suddenly, it's entirely possible Nestea wins this GSL just as much as it is for any other player.

TheStC was also at MLG so Idk how much vZ practice he was putting in comparatively since he had no zergs in his group at mlg tbh I don't think they'll have put in that much prep for DRG. DRG was a favourite to beat anyone in this group (maybe not Jjakji?) and with everyone else being Terran it makes sense to me to spend a lot more time on your TvT since you'll play anywhere between 1 and 3 guaranteed and if you can beat the other Terrans everything should sort of take care of itself. Of course DRG losing throws a spanner in the works xD
