Also I prefer taking your 4th base at the 3rd adjacent to your main, because you can kill the rocks. Taking the main adjacent to your 3rd is so hard to get to by ground (as shown by the siege tanks on high ground killing all reinforcements.

or maybe a nydus worm to get units back and forth.

Oh come on, you going to use the matches against alive as a argument? Did you even see his games? MKP was 2-0 both zergs and alive sucks at T v Z.

And he certainly wasn't the first champion to do that. IIRC MC picked MVP after his GSL run where he did 95 % 4-6 gate builds.

I think any chance of a zerg making it past the ro8 is dead with DRG.

Nestea.

Won't make it past the ro8...>_>

Dunno, you always have to consider the possibility that he could rebound into god mode. You don't win three gsl championships and stay in code S every season (and every gsl) without being potential ro8 material...

His ZvT record is pretty abysmal, his PvZ is far from what it once was and there is nobody to ZvZ against.
I'm probably being ironic

He only lost to the finalists last season and they were very close series.

Regardless, his performance this year hasn't been nearly as impressive as the last year. I feel like MC has his number and I could see him lose to Virus considering his loss to Demuslim. I hope he makes it out of his group, but I'm not optimistic of anything after that.

I'm not saying what you're saying isn't a possibility.

But there's also an equal possibilty he just takes off his weighted training clothes, powers up and blows away all of them with his super saiyan zerg powers.

LOL about all the map imba and marine imba.
DRG is underperforming, he his playing bad, nothing else.

The bust was not efficient and then lost units left and right without any reason, the banelings in the middle, then lost tons of units with bad rally, without hold position and so on... then broods without much support killed him.

Thats how i see it, if he doesnt step up, he is going 0-2.

T just plays so greedy against Zerg in the GSL now days

They are kind of forced to in order to get enough vikings to deal with the BLs while maintaining a decent marine/tank force. STC played that game for the late game, his viking production was right on the mark, not too much while enough to kill all the broodlords.

If anything is obvious after the first few days of Code S this season It's that things change fast and anyone can bounce back into form or slump suddenly, it's entirely possible Nestea wins this GSL just as much as it is for any other player.

In the only Code S season MC picked as champion, he picked TheWind and won.

well, DRG is still the best ZvT player in the world. He should have two ~50-50 games to come, so still 25% chance to get up there

Jjakji and Taeja have, from what I've seen, significantly better TvZ than TheSTC. So he's probably fucked.

Chances are also that Jjakji and TaeJa had more time to prepare for DRG. TheStC was also at MLG so Idk how much vZ practice he was putting in comparatively since he had no zergs in his group at mlg

tbh I don't think they'll have put in that much prep for DRG. DRG was a favourite to beat anyone in this group (maybe not Jjakji?) and with everyone else being Terran it makes sense to me to spend a lot more time on your TvT since you'll play anywhere between 1 and 3 guaranteed and if you can beat the other Terrans everything should sort of take care of itself.

Of course DRG losing throws a spanner in the works xD
