So sad to see big tournaments still use double elimination in their final stages of the tournament. It's just good for the open bracket because players don't want to fly over to the event and be eliminated after one loss. It's a must for the open bracket with 128+ players. But after you get down to 32/16 players, just go to group play and a single elimination bracket after that. There is no need for double elimination for the top8 players, it just takes away a lot of the excitement, especially the 'winnerbracket final --> loserbracket final --> grandfinal' part is just annoying and so much less exciting than single elimination 'semifinals --> grand final' part. At least you don't use extended series, lol. | ||
