Nerchio won't advance if Elfi wins because his game score will be worse.

if Hasuobs loses, we have 4 players 3-2, doesnt direct results between these 4 than matter?

Not at all, he's mocking PvP, why would it be ironic that he lost in a matchup he thinks is stupid?

I'm surprised that someone like Huk can't understand PvP. I'll explain him how Elfi microed during that fight on 1st game:

1) He sent the zealots/immortals in front not clumped too much.
2) Once he got a 15-20 supply lead only from this positional advantage, he blinked in with his stalkers to snipe the Colossus/Immortals then he blinked back once his Stalkers were starting to die.

MC didn't do much during that fight other than a-move.

No offense to Huk, but l2p.

Ain't u the guy who said that foreigners were better than koreans?
Still wanting to claim that by trying to prove that pvp isn't random?
(come on, Feast > Hero, MC losing a lot of pvp to foreigners, etc, etc...)

I'm glad the Huk has completely shut down guys like you who think PvP isn't luck.

Nice to know I don't need to keep explaining this to people.

He didn't shut down anyone. He's just blaming his poor results on PvP's luck. Oz is another player that proves PvP is not about luck.

Only when all 3 players have the same map score, which is impossible as HasuObs has lost not enough maps for that to possibly happen.

We all know, that it has nothing to do to win in PvP. Hence the extremely high win rate of MC until not long ago in PvP.

That's definitely uncalled for. From TLPD Huk has ~64% PvP versus at least as good opposition.

Huk is good at PvP. He won an entire tournament on the back of his PvP.

Like any Protoss he also has lost plenty PvP's but seen as he won Homestory Cup and MLG Orlando almost entirely on the back of his PvP he's clearly good at it.

Elfi got the advantage to be able to do that by playing slightly greedier without scouting though. That's not necessarily a better decision, that's what makes PvP coinflippy. You can't scout your opponent and react, you just execute your build and hope yours is superior.

Oz lost 2-0 to Huk..

Everyone knows PvP has the greatest luck factor. It also happens to be the matchup with the highest amount of foreigner upsets. Wonder if thats a coincidence..

I'm not saying that Huk isn't a good player. He should try to understand how Elfi won that match instead of saying it was luck.

I believe the issue in this discussion is that not everyone has the same definition of "luck" when it comes to PvP.

Elfi also isn't expected to win. He can lose in the group stages here (just like he does at most LAN's) and no one cares.

Where as MC has to win because he's MC.

So Elfi takes a lot of risks because he has nothing to lose.

You guys need to know that it doesn't have to be a clear line between luck and skill.

PvP is the matchup that has the greatest element of luck involved. It doesn't mean that there isn't skill involved.

It's like poker.

thats what you call drunken master ;P . Do stuff the opponent can't understand. Lots of bw a teamers fell for that against no names playing something that was just bad decision making, was really funny.

I love the protoss group, so many different pvp styles clashing together its really entertaining. And i watched bw zvz when it was muta vs muta into gg.
