its 0-2 and it was in group play at IPL where the games didnt matters and he went ling only just to test if that tactic could be used against koreans.
However when that is sayd ZvT is Stephanos weakest matchup by fare so it gonna be hard for Stephano and well alive is also a beast atm.

When he was in korea, we saw that he had a hard time mostly against terrans on the ladder. But, that does't mean he can't win versus them...
edit : Stephano faced MMA (and won) during the ipl3 qualifier. But it's was online.

He lost to Alive in an earlier IPL3 qualifier (he played 2 qualifiers and got it the 2nd time) where Alive was the one who qualified.
Stephano's ZvT is only relatively weak to his other matchups b/c of Korean terrans are so ahead of the other terrans.

I don't like zerg chances against the masssssssss small, cost efficient drops everywhere a terran with sick multitasking does. No time to go harass that base the terran takes with mass mules... Must be so annoying for Stephano, and requires a hellish skill level by the terran.

I find Alive's play to be more conservative. He isn't that aggressive in taking bases or in pushing out, but yeah he loves his drops and that counters Stephano's style very well.
Polt pushes out sooner and has better positioning with his tanks. Alive stacks his tanks together and that results in them all getting killed by a good flank as in that last game. His macro on three bases is sick though - he does so much econ. damage with his drops that Stephano on five bases cannot keep up with him due to a shortage of drones.

NASL threads have really died down over the last few months. For some reason it's just lost a lot of popularity even though it has a lot of high level players. The same goes for the NASL team league. Even when FXO was playing Leenock, Lucky, Oz, and Gumiho as their 4 (all code S at the time and playing really well) no one was even in the threads.

This is the only ZvT i've seen on this map but it really feels like zergling/baneling/mutalisk is the comp you have to go here. Every entrance to a base is a choke, the layout of the expansions/cliffs makes it perfect for drop play. As zerg you're hoping to get a winning advantage with lair tech, Ultralisks just suck in these chokes and the expansions are too vulnerable to drops to support a slow brood lord army.
I'ts like Tal'Darim without the open areas.

Well season 2 was upto 2 months old prerecordings. That and the lack of koreans in s2 in a starleague made their viewer count drop quite a bit i presume

Yeah. That said, it is demoralizing to lose your last three tournaments to top Korean Terrans (2x to Polt, 1x to Alive) without being able to make progress. I imagine Stephano is rather frustrated right now.

I understand stephano tho, didn't make much sense to play. He dosn't has an answer to this excessiv drop play.. this is loser mentality... And despite this he is the most succesful foreigner at the moment.

Diva? It's not like he's trying to get a special deal or something. He just does what he wants. He probably just wants to take a break or something.
Anyway it's probably a good experience for him to see highs / and lows of his play, so he can eventually better decide if he wants to continue with esports (at his deadline).

I'm not just talking about this situtation and doing what one wants without regard to the people around you is diva behaviour. So basically you agree with me.
I also had the diva in quotation marks to emphasis I don't think he's full out diva, just some decisions he makes have such tendencies and it's not very sympathetic.

Polt is doing well these days since he learned how to play macro games. In the past he really took so much advantages of his great early game/control to win the game, but had very sloppy late game.

He was pretty far behind. Behind on SCVs, and aLive's CC was already complete, it would've been a very hard hill to climb. He actually did a pretty good job, if he had done a little better job spreading on the way in he might have actually done it.

When i watch a sc2 cast, i don't care for play to play, i see the action. And trying to be annalytical when you can't is bad. So hearing these 2 talking about random stuff while watching the game is nice.

No specific time no. There is a game he insists on mass queens. One he does mass sentry. One he plays normal, but bms the other team. Then brags about he loves to BM on ladder on his smurf.
He usually does a very good job of being professional, but get him tilted and he slides to just immature rather quickly. Kind of getting tired of it. I just want professional Gretorp.
I am a bit biased though I adore Catz casting. He knows its not just commentating its entertainment.

Caster bashing isn't saying "gretorp is a rude caster *shows evidence of him being rude*" (the constructive part of this would be try not to be so rude during casts)
