- Best of 5 -- 4 BO1 1v1s -- If tied after all 4 games there is a BO3 Ace Match - Players are picked before the match is started and picked based on the given map - 7 Week Season - Top 4 are seeded into Playoffs
Due to information that surfaced after we filmed the match (unfortunately for us), we have discovered that Quantic and EG did set a time and date to play the ace match. Screenshots and chat logs show that EG's PuMa did not show up at the designated time for the ace match, so Quantic will be receiving a default win and will win the match 3-2. Unfortunately, this information was not made available to us until after we had filmed and edited the clan match. Because of time constraints there were no other alternatives to get the match played. We never want to see free wins in our league but it was unavoidable here.
The end result however, will remain unchanged for both teams. Quantic will be improving to 1-5, and EG will also sport a 1-5 record in the NASTL. We apologize for any confusion that this has caused, and especially apologize to those who wanted to see an ace match played. Thanks for understanding!
EG 2-3 Quantic

I'm thinking EG might take this either 3-0 or 3-2. The match-ups really didn't go in Quantic's favour here. Nani and Sase could have beaten JYP and Puma, and this could have been a 3-0 for Quantic. As it stands, I think EG will take it.

way to be a dick.
how many times has it been said: it takes time for training to set in.
Wow, Demuslim probably would've won if he'd not left the depot at his ramp down... Rough, but now we get an ace match at least.
Lol Khaldor hyping the ace match, short break, Gretorp in different clothing "sorry, no ace match." Seems like it's the teams' fault for not being able to get one more bo3 played...

He wouldn't say exactly what happened, but even after an extended deadline, the two teams weren't able to get it done. Presumably at least one of the two teams totally blew it off.

ahaha so how much longer will it take for that to set in? another few months? because I think SaSe's training kicked in quite a while ago.

yeah and how long was sase there for? sase was one of the first people to have his code a given to him so you should do some research before you talk

there's no need to ridicule someone for losing games.
and... sase is sase... idra is idra... people improve at different paces, and almost all of the players who trained in Korea have eventually improved.

wasn't Idra the guy that trained in BW in korea as a b-teamer for a few years? and then sc2? edit: oh yea SaSe went back to europe for a while until Quantic teamed up with Startale.

Makes both teams look pretty bad, imo.
From reading the OP it appears that EGPuma did not show for the ace match. How does that make Quantic look bad?
The broadcast suggested that both teams failed to field a player, it only came out later (i.e. in the OP just now) that quantic actually DID show up at the designated time, but EGPuma did not.

yeah what are you trying to say? he went to korea for BW and became b-teamer which is actually a good achievement? when he got into sc2 he barely stayed into korea? uhh no sase didnt he stayed in korea at the gom house

I actually think you must be extremely bad at starcraft or analysing starcraft, go grab the replays from MLG or atleast watch the vods, his play has improved significantly, it isn't always about getting the win when he looses to a Code S semi-finalist and mother-fking nestea, you have to analyse thw quality of his play comparative to before he went, and it was much higher, he was unlucky not to beat Oz.

its idra so its okay to say things that would get you banned if you were talking about another respected member of the community. you know, someone like tlo or sheth.

So, it's pretty much Slayers fault for being so fucking nice and distracting everyone with niceness. Those fuckers!!!!!

So he went to a party instead of showing up for work? Good thing he does not have the same boss as me....

If you read the information in the results spoiler it clearly states the information was given after the broadcast had been recorded and there was not enough time to record another piece and put it on the end of the video between the time they got the information and when it had to be broadcasted.

Why is Idra moving back? He was only in Korea for less than 3 months.

LOL, this entire situation is farcical. Puma was very unprofessional in skipping the match, or maybe this just shows how little EG care about this league.

It ended 2-2. Apparently neither team could manage to play the ace match and so it was just left at 2-2. Neither team will gain or lose points in the league as a result. So basically was a complete waste of time.

So much for checking replays that were sent in. Could of sworn someone related to NASL posted that in a previous thread.

please read before you post crap
Quantic showed up to play the game, EG didnt therefore its a forefit from EG so Quantic take it 3-2

I don't understand the point of your question or why you quoted my post at all.
On February 26 2012 12:09 Devolved wrote: lol, a tie. How does NASL allow this? They should at least postpone the ace match and broadcast it later.
it sounds like they tried to do that.
I think it would've been a good idea though if they just held out an just like rebroudcasted it at the end of another match or the beginning of one so we the viewers could've seen it as I was really looking forward to it. I realize both teams were also very busy with tournaments having had 2 this week alone but I think they could've played it before or after another series but I can also see why they wouldnt do that either as it could take a significant amount of time so oh well.

It's hard to take EG seriously or even support them when they continue to show their nonchalant ho-hum attitude about team leagues.
Huk: Hey guys, I don't wanna play team leagues cause I don't like cross server latency. EG: Oh no problem. We'll just lose in embarrassingly 1-sided matches in every league and use Machine for ace matches. No biggie. Puma: Hey guys, I partied down with Idra and SlayerS instead of showing up for the ace match. EG: Don't worry about it. Hope you had a blast. Not like we were gonna win that league any way. No biggie.
Although as a player, it's gotta be a dream job. Who wouldn't want management this lax about your work ethic.
