But this isn't some ridiculous marine split or warp prism micro.. He just pulled back two red void rays.... Genius kept them alive, maintained their charge, and was able to use his ground units to stop alive from sniping them. Fair enough I just feel that people who are impressed by that micro havn't tried to do this build themselves, its not terribly difficult.

indeed. there's a lot of stereotypical hate on the TL.net threads
1. the BW supremacist who constantly hates on sc2 and its mechanics, gameplay, builds, etc. 2. the person who consistently misuses terms: cheese, bonjwa, all-in, etc. 3. the person who nitpicks every single mistake by players and even casters
the list goes on...
calm your beards TL. stay classy.

Really, game 2 is recommended? It seems like Tastosis can convince you guys to be entertained by anything. I wasn't aware pulling back void rays in red health still gave people nerd chills.

Genius going to the final he should have be back in early 2011

Late game TvP isn't that bad, we just aren't being shown intelligent demonstrations of it. You won't ever kill a P that has 3-4 bases running with bank in a straight up fight. You have to starve him out and deplete him.

Also when thorzain won TSL with thors they got nerfed Jinro came back from behind and destroyed a Protoss in the super late game in some tournament yesterday by mass nuking and going BCs to Yamato the Colossi. Was interesting to watch but not sure how viable it is if the Protoss is more prepared.
That's exactly the kind of stuff I was wondering about. I mean, it may very well be a gimmick that is easily beaten if it becomes more common. But we just don't know...

He constantly targeted the right things - depot, bunkers, the correct units, with all his units. He had perfect stalker control to avoid losing them to high ground units. He pulled back all 3 void rays just in time, and kept his charge alive by for just one split second attacking - then stopping - his own zealot that was about to die, he warped in the right units when needed it, he correctly stopped at 3 void rays, he correctly got sentries when he needed to break the front bunker, his forcefields split the units and the ramp perfectly.
That was overall just ... fucking genius.
I might have missed something, I am a zerg player ...
I'm a protoss player and you're exactly fucking right. I'm stunned.

Go on, try to hold three VRs charged up with the weak ones taking no further damage and recharging their shields during the whole attack. Indeed early-game micro revolves around moving units around, omg so ez Protoss/Terran/Zerg just a-move etc. etc, but Genius executed it very very well.

Nope. You'll need more HP, stim can do the reverse for your rines, esp with other toss ground units nearby.

You seem to imply Toss OP or something. Genius played really well. Pulling damaged unit back is like the most basic of basic micro skills. Why was that amazing? It wasn't anything like a marine split or anything like that
