He could've cancelled 3 and expo'ed, but seeing as the response to seeing all those gates is making an army, that army would just crush his expo if he did. So nah he was commited(if we ignore the hail mary DTs)
Well, he could've used the tech to try defend a third, that's easier than running into a brick wall consisting of spines and a massive army.

Stop the Stephano hate, and your logic is very flawed. The one tournament you mentioned was a best of the best tournament and he played bo1s against Hero, DRG, MVP and MC and finished with 2-2, exactly the same as DRG. Stephano doesn't play in the GSL purely because he wants to maximise his earnings - GOM would offer him a Code S spot in a heartbeat if they thought he would take it because he's flat out the best foreigner.

Violet sacrificed a lot of early economy to get units out early to stop the push in its beginning. While you want to commit as fast as Grubby against a Zerg who didn't get these early units in this case it would have been fine and much better to delay his push and get more units. He should have known Violet is prepared after he got scouted twice and saw a good amount of lings on the map.

Personally I can't tell a difference between Stephano and 'the best in the world'. Everyone he beats, he beats very badily. I would think given his looks, his personality, and competitive level of play, he would be target ripe for sponsorship.

holy shit grubby supply blocked for a full pylon building time at his 2nd pylon
seems very nervous/sloppy, would be surprised if grubby takes this

those spots don't mean much. Naniwa was given a spot (2nd best foreigner in the world to Stephano) and he's probably the worst player in Code S. Same thing when they gave it to Huk. Same thing if it would happen with Stephano.
Also, see my previous post. I love Stephano...

Nothings wrong with a losers interview, but there's no real need to pull up replays for the losers to be shown how they specifically fucked up and for people to tell them what they should do. If anything, it should be the winners that have these types of demonstrations.

Im surprised how bad Axeltoss' commentating is. He's saying contradictory things non-stop. 'Spawning top right' when, players just clearly spawn on the right (center). Also he's not following the games closely, or lacks insight about the game. Claiming 'Violet saw Grubby researching blink' when Grubby actually waited researching before the overlord had died. Also stating wrong facts, like Grubby has stable tournament results 'always being top 8 or top 4, like wtf?', right after RotterDaM said Grubby didnt get out of the group stages of a couple of IEMs. And when talking about Grubby that you dont have to go to Korea to perform well... Grubby just came back from Korea - LOL. Even RotterDaM was laughing at him when stating these false facts Please do your homework Axeltoss, stop spamming. Leave it to RotterDaM ><
