I actually feel that they were even or Hyun had a slight advantage because Taeja wasn't able to do any damage. Then those ultras popped and died. Shrugs, I just haven;t seen ultralisks do well though. Very gas inefficient and heavily upgrade dependant.
What exactly are ultras good against in the terran army?

I think the ultras would have been much more effective if HyuN had just sacked the 4th and saved up a bunch of lings / fungals instead...

Everything except medivacs/marauders (with fungal support). They're expensive as shit but you can kill an entire army while only losing 1-2 ultras and some zerglings. They're a good unit with drawbacks; that's solid design.
