The second qualifier will be played on Sunday, and it is going live!
If you want to compete against the best players in the world for a prize pool of $25,000, Sunday will be the last chance to qualify for  Iron Squid.
Symbol won his spot in a 100% TSL final during the first qualifier, another great player is going fight his way to the qualifying spot.
This time the tournament will be entirely live and casted in 3 languages:
• Pomf & Thud assisted by Anoss for the French speakers
• Apollo will do it in English
• Khaldor will cast in German

Qualifier #2
The games will be played on your domestic server except for the cross server games which will be played on NA. Be sure to be on the bnet channels (IronSquid) to be informed by the admin if your games are to be casted.

14.00CET
8.00am EST (Yes, in the morning! Don’t forget it this time!)
22.00 KST
the check-in will start one hour before

Hmm, I wonder if having the Battle.net character name and code be publicly displayed is a very bright idea. I'm guessing pros are already added a lot from people who just add pros and whisper them stuff, but having that information publicly displayed has to be a gold mine for people wanting to 'hit up' pros.

Identifying the Koreans given the list on the stream page is extremely difficult, however from what I see it's IM.Ready playing on Nestea's account.
Also there are signed up "Park June Yong" who could be a misspelled "Park Jin Young" aka JYP, and "Kim Dong Hyun" aka RevivaL.
All the others are either obvious from the name they used to register, or using a smurf name.

if they are far from maxed it is a very good indicator.
after fight an pretty even fight: bomber 190/200 supply with 100:100
vs bling 150/200 with 2k:1k shows definitely the superiority of bombers macro.

I think you were banned rightfully, You can normalize the sounds so the screaming doesn't kill your ears. It just didn't happen in this case and their response was correct. And you do come off whining a bit if I'm totally honest.
I personally like his excitement. You can really tell it's genuine too :p

Sorry but you sound like a stream monster, no need to go to war against a caster that you dislike, his screaming didn't hurt my hears and I don't think a single yell out of excitement for the game is a valid reason to trash him in the chat like you probably did. Bomber and Polt were always the TvP masters though, so I would be interested to see them play against guys like MC and Puzzle.
The thing is, so far having just great TvT and TvZ have been enough to keep you in code S.

He had an idea. He produced vikings out of a reactored starport before seeing bls. However he just could not tech to anti-bl army as monster kept pressure on him. If Polt skimped on marines tanks or thors he would be overrun, so he never had the option to get up ghosts or vikings in sufficient numbers. The only thing keeping him in it at the end was upgrades. Tech and econ was heavily in favor of monster. WP from Polt though given the circumstances, very good game from both.

I've seen Life roll players like Jjakji with this composition before. But he was in a very bad position and his army was scattered. That marauder/hellion build did too much damage, and to compensate Life had to delay mining from the third's gas for too long.

Two extremely good, lesser-known players. I'm excited. It is only in tournaments like these that we get to see these super skilled, super stylized lesser known Koreans play versus each other. IronSquid should be extremely happy that their finals ended up with these two players. This will also help exposure for these players which is awesome too.
Viewers who aren't that familiar with either one or both of these players are in for a serious treat.

well, I guess most pros if not all are GM so they probably dont feel the need to copy diamond strats :p rushing hive is like rushing carriers and infestors does in no way make you safe. The faster infestors deal with harassment a lot more efficiently than a moving ling/bling around the map as well as completely shut down any marine tank based timing. He scouted the hive as well but Ghosts are costly. Also, 1 misstep like in game 2, and your ghosts will be completely worthless.

But going for the fast infestors allows you to upgrade your lings a lot faster instead of dumping 1000's of gas into mutas. Zerg can generally out upgrade terran by doing this. Mass upgraded ling/bling gives you amazing map control as the same thing that happened to keen in game 2 can happen at any time. And also drop harassment really doesn't do much. Get spines and spores and infestors at your base. Spread overlords. Life was essentially playing the strategy my platinum zerg friend used to get into diamond but he played it way better, less unspent resource, more static defense, more ovie spread, etc. People used to think Ultras and Broods sucked because noone would get them until 25+ minutes. Now zergs are getting them at 15 minutes and they aren't that bad after all...

I understand him, its kind of frustrating seeing a team that has developed such talents, and everytime they get the possibilty to compete the other top teams, their players get bought by the bigger teams. It reminds me of Begrip/BLANK/Lions in cs 1.6.

I know how frustrating it may be, but I just think it's immature to hate a team just because they bought out another player and to term it "stealing" (which implies that the player himself has no say in the matter, which is typically not the case). I mean, how is it in any way rational to hate a team for giving a player you support more opportunities in the future to make a name for himself? If anything, you should be thankful to the new team for supporting your player, glad for the player for having more support, and of course, sad for the old team for losing a talent. There really shouldn't be any "hatred" floating around.

By all rights, it is probably better for Life's future career if he goes to another team. I understand him, its kind of frustrating seeing a team that has developed such talents, and everytime they get the possibilty to compete the other top teams, their players get bought by the bigger teams. It reminds me of Begrip/BLANK/Lions in cs 1.6. I know how frustrating it may be, but I just think it's immature to hate a team just because they bought out another player and to term it "stealing" (which implies that the player himself has no say in the matter, which is typically not the case). I mean, how is it in any way rational to hate a team for giving a player you support more opportunities in the future to make a name for himself? If anything, you should be thankful to the new team for supporting your player, glad for the player for having more support, and of course, sad for the old team for losing a talent. There really shouldn't be any "hatred" floating around.
He wasn't probably that serious about the hating thing. But also that's how sports work, there's always one part that will hate the superior team that buys the inferior teams players, and the other part that will love that team for it. A good example of this would be Real Madrid in soccer.
I'd actually say EG's this team in sc2 they got tons of money and are known for buying of new talent from other teams (HuK in the same summer as his breakout, Puma at the same time as his breakout and JYP around the time of his breakout). EG get a lot of shit for being "this" kind of team (for example, the ranting about Hero being bought by EG after his DH win etc.), but they also get a lot of fans for being this "all-star" team.

@ Eee: I understand the case if you're a fan of the team more than you're the fan of the player, but if you like the player more for his play-style/personality/what-not than the fact that he is on Team X, then the bitterness seems misplaced. If EG (god forbid) ever picked up Bomber (god forbid), then I'd be bummed out for ST (incidentally also my favorite team), but because I like to put players before teams, I'd be ... still bummed out, but I wouldn't be bitter about it.

Anyways. gonna rest my case here. Apparently any type of player transfer is poaching nowadays. You don't even know the details of how Departure left to Fnatic. There was a press release from Fnatic, and that was it. No drama (as compared to, say, the CoCa and Taeja incidents).
