I am confused on why MMA's coach picked Oz though...Hopefully MMA has drastically improved his TvP but I hope it does not backfire on him.
Nestea picking DRG to prove that he is still the top Zerg. DRG has been on a tear recently, but Nestea seems to be back in shape after his RO32 performance. Anticipating the clash of the Zerg titans. Maybe it's trial by fire... I think SlayerS often likes to encourage players to face their weaknesses by putting them in tough situations (like when MMA picked Yugioh for his group a while back - sucked to be Yugioh!). This way MMA will be forced to work on his weakest matchup rather than just hope to not run into Protoss at some point. it could be revenge for Oz beating MMA. He wants to prove he can beat Oz

Nestea picking DRG has nothing to do with proving anything, he just trusts himself in ZvZ more than any other matchup. If you look at Nestea's past history of picking opponents, you'll see that he always picks who he thinks he can beat easily and he often picks Zergs. In this case, he had to choose one of 2 Zergs, and Curious has quite good ZvZ. He may have also considered the fact, that DRG has a good chance of beating his other possible opponents, making it easier for Nestea to finish top 2. What Nestea was probably thinking:
"I'll beat DRG in ZvZ, he'll play the loser's match, I'll play the winner's match. He'll probably end up winning against whoever he plays against in the loser's match, so even if I lose the winner's match, I'll end up playing him again, so all I need to win is two ZvZs and I'm through"

Oh god MMA is becoming Keen right before our very eyes.

WTF MMA WHY OZ?!
i mean i know his coach picked but FUCKKKKK
|
The funniest thing about MMA's group is if the coach had picked Curious (the last zerg), then Curious would have picked Alive, and MMA would have gotten an easy road to the ro8. Oh well, time for MMA's TvP to put up.
|
Awww shiiit. These groups are so exciting. And next season's Code S is gonna be even more stacked. <3GSL
|
I feel bad for Gumiho... being considered such an easy opponent...
I expect Nestea to win simply because DRG has never really found much success in Code S and I don't anticipate him finding success anytime soon.
Ganzi was one of those terrans whom were depending on lack of protoss and such an incomplete player, I expect him to fall.
MMA's TvP is unimpressive and I never thought he deserved to be a champion considering just how not well-rounded he is. If he proves me wrong then he deserves every bit of hype he used to get. That said, he's not much of a person to cheer for when he's the favorite...
|
Easy wins for MVP, MC, MMA and .. wtf, D for DEATH. Looking forward to seeing the results.
|
Great read :D But I was baffled deluxe at one sentence..
''- I want to play against MC and Oz but they're avoiding me. *Ganzi in the background is hot, it I was gay that would be with him*.''
WTF?!??!?!?!? came out of nowhere...

I think he meant it was a trial by fire for Yugioh.

Yeah, you are probably right about that. But regardlessly of what happens, people will hype it as the fight for the title of best Zerg right now. Spectators and fans like creating storylines, and I guess I was guilty of it too.

oz was a good pick for mma. might aswell get rid of the hard opponents first. after all, only getting to the final matters. if hes gonna be eliminated it might as well be in ro16 rather than ro8.
|
So group D..............HOLY SHIT!!!
|
As long as MarineKing plays as he has been playing, he should make it out just fine
|
Oh my. Those are some pretty intense groups. Will I finally get to see a rematch between my favorite Zerg (Nestea) and my favorite player (MarineKing)? I can only hope.
|
I read Group D and I started smiling.
Can't wait!
|
Group D is indeed the group of Death this season. It's not only got good players but the only group that has all 3 races. You gotta practice all 3 match-ups for that one.
