if you watch closely in the dark, you can see the event organizers crying

Not bashing any tournament organizer but this has been a problem at almost every IEM stop. The problem is that they have to do the stops at locations selected by Intel. There they have to rely on a lot of equipment of others.
An idea for the multiple caster in foreign languages would probably be to have a dedicated camera guy observing which then gets voice over for the different languages.

That sucks, considering the other IEM events went off without a hitch.

Even if there wasn't lag, was there much that Grubby could have done in that situation?

He had like 1 or 2 sentries and Zenio had a shit ton of lings/blings. He bust was happening. I guess the only thing he could do to stop it would be forcefield the Pylon that was destroyed and build something behind it.. but still, only 2 sentries wouldn't last that long and I think ultimately Zenio would have won.

European Protosses are extra-sensitive to lag apparently. It hurts them more than everyone else... :p

This is just like the South Africa world cup, sets a really low standard so the brazilian gonna be less of an embarassment by contrast.

At least it's coming from Grubby so you know it must be serious/very bad. Grubby is manner king and for him to call this out it must be unplayable. I hope IEM gets their shit together.

Yeah, but a LoL team has 5 players, so you have to figure there are probably more LoL players then SC2 players out there. It makes sense it has a larger viewership on streams.

Lost to baneling bust about 30 seconds after a long pause where I guess they were trying to fix the lag.

something to read during the breaks
http://www.esl-world.net/masters/rule_book/

+ Show Spoiler +
3.27 Protest Guidelines
· A match can be protested up until 72 hours after the starting time of the match in the Protest form.
Protests after the 72 hour deadline has passed may not be considered by the Intel Extreme Masters
administration. If the match is part of a cup, protests can only be filed immediately after the match.
· A protest is for problems that affect the match outcome; a protest may even be filed during a match
for things like incorrect server settings and other related issues.
· A protest is the official communication between the parties and an admin. It is advised that only one
representative per team is writing in the protest. If it is a single player which is the offending party
that player may also participate in the protest ticket.
· The protest must contain detailed info about why the protest was filed, how the discrepancy came to
be and when the discrepancy occurred. A protest may be declined if proper documentation is not
presented. A simple „they are cheaters“ will not do.
· Insults and flaming are strictly prohibited in a protest, and may result in penalty points or the protest
being ruled against the insulting party.

yea this seems kind of an like an exaggeration from Huk. I thought Guangzhou, Cologne, and New York went well.

Lucky this happened to Grubby and not Naniwa again. Naniwa would get blown off and accused of whining for no good reason but Grubby is an eSports veteran with a ton of tournament experience and always very manner, if he is complaining there is a legitimate reason for it and IEM better damn fix it.

He said that one of his pylons was delayed a lot because of the lag, and Zenio took advantage of that :/
I guess that's why Grubby is upset.

Naniwa came back and made it out of the group along with White Ra!?

I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)
